So I shall Uninstall AVG and Zonealarm.....
Good start. If the "top process" is the "idle" process that's a good start...
  • I'm on my phone. I downloaded the avg remover, and it wanted to reboot. Now it's a black screen and nothing is happening. I can move mouse. Ctl alt del show no applications running.

If the disk light is flashing- can you see it? leave it for a couple of minutes, otherwise reboot again.

For future reference the disk activity light looks like its on the front of the laptop to the right. (picture shows 2 small lights and a single yellow one).

Leave it! Why are you worried? Could be Windows7 Service Pack1? (but most likely this was installed with 7.) Have you found the disk light yet?
  • Think you're right, it's up to 3 now lol. . Yes I see the lights.

  • Right. Laptop is back on. There isn't security on, think I've uninstalled it. Think there is malwarebytes on, I hadn't put that on. What shall I do now? Thanks :)
