Was talking to dd(13) about my roadkill challenge, and she has offered to keep her eye out on the walk to/from school!
Have put the 4p from dh's trousers in youngest dd's piggy bank :embarasseIt's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

I had my head down looking for pennies while walking the dog with my dad (I was 8 or 9 years old) and walked into a lamppost. Trip to A&E, concussion, black eye snd splitting headache for a couple of days! If it happens again I'm out!
Oh dear Kate! Yes, don't take it that far this time around! No injuries please! Your roadkill rebel number is in post number 8.chrisfreelander54 wrote: »Count me in please, the kids do better than me with this sort of thing especially my son who's 6, he's got eagle eyes I'm sure.
Don't think the wife will join in though, as she always seems to keep her distance if its something that could embarrass her. Lol
Think I will start by checking the vending machines in the works canteens.
Welcome on board chris - check post number 8 for your rebel number. I am so far past the embarrassment stage and have been known to do a little jig on finding a pound coin! :jSaver-upper wrote: »Hey,Hokey:am so much looking forward to this challenge starting for real.

ME TOO!!! Can't wait!
Would you guys like to track wombled receipts too? We can certainly do that but I'd like to track them separately from coins. We can keep track of both coin and wombled receipt finds if that is what you would like to do......and then each rebel can choose to search for one or both?? Sound good??Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
I was just thinking about this last night! I'll collect both, but keep track separately.0

HOK3Y,I am sure you were sitting on my shoulder all day today .
One of my daughters turns 7 on the weekend. So kids were shipped to grandparents today so I could go shopping for presents(not fun to do while dragging 4 kids, inc birthday girl!).
I went to a local mall.Where I parked, you then enter through a huge Boots store.
Thinking HOK3Y-styly,I went out of my way and swept by the food-chillers:spotted coins!Pretended to kneel down to look in my handbag, swept out 3 coins, total 16p!!Was pretty thrilled with that, because to have had an October total of 1p was looking embarrassing :rotfl:.
Went to Sainsbury ,as always, scanned trolleys as I went past.Found a £1 coin!!Took afew minutes to retrieve, cos three trolleys had been packed behind it,so had to use my trolley token to release them one at a time.........
After using a £2 wombled voucher in S,found another 2p coin in carpark.
Definately worth going out to buy birthday presents today, hehe.
Soooooo looking forward to November.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Brilliant post! This is exactly the kind of DAILY finds you can have if you actively look. I have found over £16 this month alone (which is exceptional thanks to finding 2 fivers) but finding worthwhile amounts of money on the floor is very, very possible......and it will only get better the closer we get to Christmas! Really chuffed for you SU.x
