Ooooh,am on a roll this weekend. It is only because I have spent all weekend at the local mall: once the working/school week starts again,it will be harder work,I am sure.

Today I have found 21p in all:
    1p on floor of ASDA
10p behind Coinstar machine(the first Coinstar machine I have seen;are they only in ASDA?)
5p under display unit in Claires-only saw it because I was scanning the floor underneath display units while standing in queue to pay:if it had been any further underneath I wouldn't have seen it:I had missed it yesterday when I squatted down to look under all display units in several shops
    1p x2 in McDonalds
    1p in food court
1p in Boots:sitting on the sweet display at counter, obviously where it had been dropped when getting change back, person didn't bother about it.
    1p in garage tonight

    In all,quite a successful weekend.(That is success in Saver-Upper's world.Not in HOK3Y's world.Of course.:rotfl:)

Smokies,at the moment I just keep mine in a Muller youghurt pot(just got enough coins to cover the bottom 1cm of the pot).
I am thinking about joining the "Sealed Pot Challenge",which starts in afew days,so might start adding it all to a sealed pot to be opened next year.
    Still thinking about that.

The OH and I put all our schrapnel (5,2, & 1) in a big jar, so my roadkill goes into that for now. But next year I'll be keeping a jar just for that, and hopefully (assuming the roadkill fairies are kind) I'll be able to use it to treat us to a nice meal out somewhere around Christmas 2014 ;)

1p find at the bus stop for me today :-)

  • I've enjoyed reading this thread, and have been surprised by how much money is laying around on the streets.

I'm not an official road kill rebel, but I found 30p by a vending machine at work today. :j

I have just been reading this tread and love the idea of "road kill" money..

keep up the good work of keeping our streets free from unwanted cash lol lol

You certainly can smokies! There will definitely be a December thread - I have a feeling there will be more pennies out there during all the Christmas mayhem!

I put all my 1p, 2p and 5p pieces into a large sealed coffee can. Anything bigger than this goes into my purse to minimise what I pull out of the bank in cash - very handy indeed!

It's true Staffordia, there is a shed load of cash lying around......and Mr HOK3Y isn't too impressed that I've advertised this fact because it's apparently eating into our profit margin.......:rotfl:......I think we're doing just fine!

Quiet day on the roadkill front with a total of 10p netted and £2.70 in w/r. Just a few days left of November to make it count! Keep it going Rebels!!! :T

Definitely no holes in peoples pockets here! And we must have the cleanest supermarket carparks etc as there are booger all receipts or coins lying around - very thin pickings. I am amazed just how many w/rs you get Hok3y!
