Well, pat my back and call me HOK3Y!!!!!
Today I found 8 different coins,totalling 39p!:j
In order of appearance:
5p x 2 hiding behind fire extinguisher,in an almighty dust-bunny,in a shop at the mall
1p x 2 in Boots at mall
1p in carpark,actually fallen down a grill
20p on Tesco floor
1p nr lottery desk at Tesco
5p on Tesco garage floor,nr counter(not self-serve)
Not bad for 5 hours work, huh?:rotfl:
No,I am actually pleased to have found so many individual coins, but I wish that ASDA would hurry up and open up so I can get receipts worth abit more.
It is nice to see lots of us gathering up those coins.
HOK3Y,I am not sure what to suggest for tallying up our finds.
I think the original aim of the game was to find true roadkill(ie cash),then I suggested using wombled receipts, cos they are as good as cash.Lottery tickets,Costas receipts etc do also translate to money off.
I am not sure what to suggest about clicksnap;sounds like it might be getting abit out of the realm, though I have to admit I don't really know how it works.
I guess since we are not playing for houses,it doesn't really matter:at the end of the month we could simply add up everyone's totals listed in different "columns":
-cash
-wombled receipts/lottery tickets, etc straight from the floor
-other stuff you have to do to get afew extra pennies:clicksnap, etc.
-mis-identified stuff:buttons,can lids,chewing gum,cardboard out of fireworks :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well hot-diggity SU!!! Well done!!!! That is definitely a HOK3Y kinda day!!!! Mightily impressed and I bet you were just on a roll with all of that! Some days the coins seem to just keep coming and it sounds like you have had one of those. Way cool!!!
You know, you might be right about out of the realm - let's keep pure cash found as roadkill (I will separate out the £4 I found on the lottery ticket at the end of the challenge), anything from a wombled receipt that results in a voucher or points can be tallied separately, and anything from a wombled voucher or ticket that pays out cash can be another column all together.
At the end of the day this challenge is about changing what is in our pockets by what we find on the floor, so anything from a receipt or found lottery ticket is fair game. Clicksnap can be included as it is money earned from receipts......definitely going to start bringing home receipts from my lunchtime walks into Morri$ons!
At the end of the day it is either more money in our pockets or savings to the grocery bill for the month. I've had a great month so far. I'm sitting here ticking down the minutes to check a couple more wombled receipts that I found this evening when I went shopping. Got almost £7 off that shop with vouchers!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
