Oh, and I also learned clearly yesterday that supermarkets are not created equal for this roadkill malarkey.......the small Morri$ons that I go to every working lunchtime usually yields a few coins each trip. The gigantic one here in my home town gave me 1p last night because it is insanely well lit. I mean, burn-your-retinas-bright. I figure this makes coins stand out and so they get snapped up. I should complain to the manager and point out he could improve his profit if he took the wattage down a bit.......:D

Do you guys use Qmee? It pays you for searching the net. I've made about £2 in the last couple of months for nothing. If you fancy trying it, PM me your email and I'll send you a link (they give me a few pennies for introducing friends when they cashout for the first time which you can do with even just 1p!)......then you can introduce your friends too! :D

    Hi Hok3y and all

Yesterday I found 29p in loose change on my travels.

Sadly, on Thursday, whilst I was driving I found real roadkill :( - a rabbit, which I initially thought was a cat (cat lover you see, hence reason for stopping). It looked like it had just fallen asleep so I did the decent thing and donned some work gloves and gently put it on the grass verge rather than leave it in the road.

If you find an A$da receipt with at least eight DIFFERENT grocery items, you can type the barcode of the receipt into their price guarantee website and it will give you a voucher if it wasn't 10% cheaper than other supermarkets. No guaranteed results and hubby and I check our local store at least twice a day. You must staple the original receipt to the voucher or they won't accept it. This has really helped with our food costs.

Not a daft question chrisblue - see above. You can also womble receipts fom costa and boots - you take them to customer services and have the points balance added to your card. It is amazing what people throw away!

"I love to go a-wombl-ing, along the mountain track":rotfl:Not that you'd find many receipts up on a mountain !! ha ha.

I found a £20 off electricals/computing from Mr. T yesterday in the carpark, but I would need to spend £100 to get the £20 off. Not sure if I will be able to save up enough for a Hudl before the expiry date......

Also wombled a receipt for 2 extra clubcard points. Need to be careful with those though as I have read on here that they will take your card off you if you try to do too many.:o

I only found 2p yesterday; 1p in the university library and 1p inside the Spar shop.

I then had to pay almost £10 in overdue book fines (epic fail) so not such a great day on the money saving front :(

I'm about to head out for a walk before it gets dark (1) to hunt for some more roadkill and (2) to have a break from studying.

Nothing found today and only little bits of money recently. However, I do not rule out that there is higher value coinage/paper money awaiting me!
