Expecting baby - hospital bag for husband

I am planning my hospital bag for giving birth, and would like to pack a surprise hospital bag for my husband as well to make the stay as comfortable as possible for him.
So mums and dads, what items were you glad you packed and was there anything you in hindsight wished you had with you to the hospital?
Here is the list so far
Things for man bag
non-alcoholic drink
Bottle of water
Favourite chocolate
Cereal bars
Plenty of coins for coffee automat, parking etc
A book
Camera
Basic toiletries; Tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant,
Wash cloth/towel
A spare t shirt and sweater
Swim shorts (i hope to use a pool, have heard it is useful for partner to have swimwear also)
Things to put on note to remember to add last minute
Mobile phone & charger

Make sure he has all the 'important people' numbers in his phone.

Will be keeping an eye on this thread as our little one's due in December. I like that you specified 'non-alcoholic' drink though :rotfl: I have images of lots of merry Dads around the delivery suite!
It's not particularly healthy, but I often see the Dads from delivery suite downstairs buying energy drinks and / or painkillers, so may be worth including these in your bag - labour can be long and painful for both parents!0 -
Comfy footwear? Dunno about you, but I find hospitals boiling. Would definitely want sandals, flipflops or slippers! Especially for men who are probably stuck in boots/shoes/trainers. If he's a barefoot sort of person at home, maybe invest in something non-enclosed for the hospital!

If he uses the swim shorts, he'll need a towel!0

there was a thread on this very subject about 4/5 months ago and I thought there were some brilliant suggestions in it! however iv tried to search for it and I can't find it! it's such a nice idea though, I want to do it when the time comes0

Have you thought of a book or something to keep him entertained if you have a nap
Pack of cards to keep you both busy in early stages
Edit maybe some sandwiches or something more substantial as often the shops in hospitals are closed at night
Good luck0 -
