I have had the same (ish) dream a couple of times a week for the past 3 or 4 weeks.
It goes something along the lines of:
I have found out I am single and pregnant.
I am at an open day in a newly built comprehensive school that I "know" is in Australia but everyone looking around british. I am discussing having a baby with a female friend and we agree we can raise it together as she cant have kids,we plan this to the last detail. The next thing I remember is we are in a cafe over looking Sydney harbour drinking maritni cocktails to celebrate our agreement (I am smoking and drinking while pregnant - shame on me!!)
A man who I know to be the father (not someone from real life at all) comes over and starts talking to me in Spanish (I think? I cant speak Spanish) yet in my dream I can sort of understand him, we have an argument, the heat starts to get to me and I actually wake up sweating!
It varies, sometimes Danni Minouge is the friend I am going to live with lol.0 -
Hi christmas trees can be representative of family celebrations, gatherings and family relationships, driveways can represent security and rest.
I would suggest that one of the above is causing some unrest and a insecure feeling.
We had 2 family parties last week. A small Halloween one for the children & a boozy birthday party the following night.
Damn you're good!!!!0 -

I'm in the house I grew up in, always alone and nearly always at night. I walk into the lounge and the curtains are closed and slightly moving as though there is a draft behind them. I walk over to the curtains and pull them back and find the window is open as far as it can go and it's pitch black outside and I realise that someone has just climbed in and is hiding somewhere in the house. I am very frightened by this. I sometimes hear a door open behind me or sense a presence rushing up behind me, but before I can turn round and face the intruder I always wake up.g
I wake up with my heart pounding and a feeling of terror that lasts for a good few seconds before I realise I was dreaming.
Another one is that I've let myself into this same house with my old key and am sneaking around looking into all the bedrooms when I hear the current owners come back and I can't find anywhere to hide. They're coming up the stairs to the room that I'm in, but before they come in I wake up. Again, I wake up very frightened and panicked.
I haven't been to that house for about 20 years, btw but it's the one I usually dream about.
TIA
when we open curtains it is usually because we are ready either consciously or subconsciously to reveal or use again some hidden part of ourselves.
when we look out of a window we are thinking about our outlook on life, our conciousness or point of view, this indicates to me that whether conciously or not you cannot predict how this revelation or reawakening of an old skill, experience or emotion will affect your outlook on life or point of view on something.
the intruder in the house can be a feeling of social pressure, either to reveal or not to reveal this to others but I'm also inclined to think it is your subconcious telling you to be open to revealing this old side of your character and or an old experience or emotion.
I think this because your second dream about being the intruder can be either the repressing of an old memory, experience and or emotion but can also be something you have yet to discover about yourself.
the strangers in the house can be different facets of yourself certain sides to your personality you are hiding from.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
My dream last night was that my daughter left her dog with me it slept on my bed insisting it slept over my legs leaving me feeling cramp pains ( dead leg ) when I woke up in reality .
Two dreams are they common ?
My other was upsetting it was that my son was involved in a fire at work and he died so I was asked to ID him and could only do so by his fingers . Awful dream !!
Hi dogs in our dreams represent intuition, loyalty, generosity and protection, as this was your daughters dog I would suggest this dream is about your feelings for her, the dog lying on your legs and you waking with dead legs would suggest you are maybe suffering from sleep paralysis, this happens when you wake suddenly from a dream but your body is still slightly paralysed, something that happens naturally during sleep, it often occurs when you are very tired.
but it may be worth seeing your doc about the dead leg feeling, as dogs represent intuition it may be your subconcious telling you about a problem with your leg.
I can understand how upsetting the dream about your son was.
, fire represents a change that can alter dependancies and viewpoints, the death of a relative represents a shift in a relationship beit good or bad so I would suspect that perhaps your son has become less dependant on you or perhaps his viewpoints have changed somewhat and this has altered your relationship in someway or you worry it will.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Thank you pukkamum, that's very interesting. (And somewhat disturbing, it even made my eyes leak!
)
It's very kind of you to give your time to do this. :ALove the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -

Not you turn yet bazey think it will take much contemplation to work out whats going on in your subconscious, slightly worried about what I might find!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

It scares the life out of me and I also have the feeling sometimes that's theres a man behind me in the kitchen in my home or standing by my bedroom door when im in bed. Its only happened over the past 3years in my home. I havnt felt this presence in any other home ive had. Ive been here 6 years. It does scare me. Sometimes think im going mad... I don't watch horror films now either or anything that could put this in my mind. Any ideas....
Hi love unfortunately bazey was right on one part this is sleep paralysis but you are certainly not wasting my time!
The sleep paralysis occurs when we aren't getting enough quality sleep whether because of stress, too much caffeine or too much computer use before bed.
Basically you are waking up or are almost asleep still in or entering into dream mode, your body is completely relaxed in it's paralysed state, as it should be when asleep otherwise we would act out all our dreams, but your mind is fully awake.
Because your mind is fully awake it is still creating dream images, hallucinations almost and these nearly always take the shape of a threatening shadowy figure.
When this happens the best thing you can do is allow yourself to fully relax, hard I know in this situation, but it will give your body chance to catch up with your brain and the menacing figure figure or feeling should go away.
You are most definitely not going mad you are just very tired and wired.
Try as I said above avoiding late caffiene, late using of a computer etc xI don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0
