just tried it today. but they are not doing this deal anymore and if any sale advisor is going to offer you this deal than voda will be taking discplenary action against them.

I posted this deal more than a month ago but it did not get noticed. I feel that possibly pointing Vodafone to this thread of possibly saying it was seen on the internet was not a bright move. To get as much as possible it needed to be done a little more quitetly. There is possibly 10 people on this thread that have tried for this deal. I find it hard to see that so few people has such a great risk to vodafone. Keep trying you may get lucky.

update

vodafone are saying that they will not honour recommend a friend as they don't do it any more:mad:

i am on the phone to them at the moment

i have pointed out that the offer is still on the website as we speak

do you think that they twigged

oh well still a good deal

I got the deal today about 2pm

When I rang I mentioned that many people in forums are recommending a deal and the guy said I know which deal you mean, so I asked which one

He replied.....

300 mins 100 txt
Free N95
512 memory stick ( I tried for 1 meg but no joy)
Car charger
£13.50 for 15 months(not by redemption)
£27 for final 3 months

He had to ask a manager apparently but got the go ahead

I had to get the extra sim for £10 and postage £3.50

I was happy with this deal as earlier in the day I spoke to a different advisor who told me that this deal was over a while back and he offered 3 months at £17 then 15 months at £27

Result

vodafone really need to get their staff trained, honestly what a palava on the phone for over one hour there:mad:

first person says no, we don't honour recommend a friend anymore:eek:

second person hums and haws, i try to pin here down to email me confirmation so she cuts me off by putting me back into queueing system:rolleyes:

third person finally puts it in writing by email (cheers derek) but he says that it is only a single payment to me of £50 when the other person receives their fourth bill:j

i have been told about three times by different customer service staff that it is £50 each, will just have to wait this out

but at last finally something in writing:T

Just spoke to a helpful lad in customer care and and I'll be getting an unlock code in the next 48 hours at no cost. So far Vodafone have been great.

I got the deal in the end on friday afternoon.

Phone arrived this morning. It wasnt brand new, Im convinced. The box looked as though it had been previously opened and a new secruity seal put on. The phone didnt have a film screen protector and lots of the clear plastic bags which house the accessories had broken sellotape on them. The clincher was that the cigarette lighter adapter came seperately, but there was another one in the N95 box already !!

The slider is also ropey aswell. I'll be on the phone to them tomorrow telling them to sort it.

Same here - no screen protection film and two security seals with the inside one broken. But the phone etc look new.
