do you get charged for planning a journey with the phone then?
i hope not as ive been trying it our for over an hr!Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
Thanks to everyone on this thread for their input so far, very interesting.
Was wondering if anyone had any advice for me, I've been with Orange for over 6 years and my current 12 month contract runs out next week.
I spend an average of £36 a month, £6 over my current £30 pm tariff. I need more than 500 texts, ideally unlimited, but not as many as 200 minutes.
I want the n95 as an upgrade phone, am willing to upgrade my contract to a £35 tariff as well.
Orange have already tried twice to get me to take a Samsung and a new tariff with no upgrade phone and I didn't like either offer so asked by post for my PAC. They have now texted a number I should call them on.
When I call back what do you think my chances are on getting the N95 free?
Should I wait til Friday as thats when someone earlier said Nokia are making it free?
Thanks for any help guys!0 -

Nope the only part of the Maps part of the N95 that costs is the voice navigation and downloading the maps using your phone (data costs). The downloading of maps can be done via you PC/USB at no cost though.0 -
you pay to download or use the voice navigation?

Phone for you are giving n95 free on 18mth orange contracts, £35 mth for 500 mins and unlimited texts plus 3 mths 1/2 price line rental http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?ItemKey=160711&MPItemKey=166840
If you want to keep your existing number you could try telling them that o2 are giving the phone for free on all £35 mth tariffs, but youd rather stay with them. Ask if they can match the deal or you will switch to o2. May work. If it doesnt work 1st time keep trying n trying, I had to ring 02 about 10 times before i got a decent upgrade with this phoneWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

There's an excellent site that tells you how to download the maps via your PC and upload them to the phone for free and - just as important - how to switch off the option that allows your phone to download the maps directly over your phone's data connection while you are using the GPS - thus avoiding the risk of accidentally running up huge data transfer codes.
...
OK, I'm at work and can't find it right now, but I'll post it in a wee while when I get home.0
