How did you meet your OH?

If you don't mind me asking!
I'm in my mid 20s and am 6 months out of my first relationship, which lasted 7.5 years. We were friends since secondary school, and things progressed from there.
I now think I'm ready to start moving on with my life, but I have no idea how to meet someone new! I've just moved to a new area as well so don't have any proper friends here just yet. I'm quite shy, I'm not particularly outgoing, and I don't go out that much to bars and stuff. My friends at home are still with their partners from school/uni, so they're not much help!
So-how did you meet your other half?

Parents were friends so kind of met through them, we always say it was an arranged marriage!

On holiday when I was 24 (about 9 months after an 8yr relationship). Got chatting, were very similar and got on very well, spent a lot of time together, carried on chatting when home, started visiting each other and now married with 2 children 9 years on.0

My brother knew his brother.
We were friends initially and he was engaged to someone else.
During our friendship he started to develop strong feelings for me, his then fianc! had an affair with her boss and my housemates boyfriend told me that my (now) OH was in love with me. I freaked out as I'd only just come out of a short lived but very intense relationship.
It got messy and no one came out of it smelling of roses, yes I realise it sounds like a soap opera.Kate short for Bob.

Honestly, SO MANY people seem to meet up through work.
I've pretty much always been single. When I think about it, it's partly because when I am employed, it's always in a warehouse with a bunch of blokes! We all get excited when the sandwich girl turns up a lunch time!
Never any girls in the full-time jobs that i've had.
I'm jealous of a few friends I have who are managers at clothing stores, and they are always dating these gorgeous teenage girls that start working in their stores, despite the large age gaps (late 20's - 30's)0
