  • Decided that my £4.55 spent on bits and pieces in ASDA on Thursday should come under this month's budget. Was taken from the allowed overdraft (naughty I know) so technically I was borrowing from this month's me.

  • Checking in for the December challenge.

My target is £80 this month, with around £17 carried forward from last month too. I'm not aiming to come in under budget this month, I'm staying with my parents over Christmas, and will give mum everything I have left over to help pay for any food I will eat over the stay (including Christmas day). So the aim is to spend as little as possible over the next 3 weeks, while I target using up all perishables too.
  • Helloooo everyone, hope you don't mind me joining in.... I can go abit loopy with grocery shopping at this time of year so I'm hoping if I give myself a budget I'll stick to it.

Please could you put me down for £370 .... this will include, all food, toiletries, pet supplies, petrol and clothing plus xmas eve, day and boxing day for 5 of us, plus ds's birthday cake on the 30th.... I'm hoping to have some money left in the pot come the end of december..but we shall see.

A spend of just 69p today on a 2 litre bottle of pop to share while we were out. It works out much cheaper than buying separate drinks and I keep plastic cups in our boot :)

    I will update my signature.

  • I'm now in my 3rd month of the GC. It's such a help. I'm slowly whittling down my spends. Big thanks to everyone who helps to run this forum. I really enjoy reading everyone's posts. Will catch up on the December posts later.
Please put me down for £440 for December. Thank you.
  • I spent £38.02 in b and m, lidl and asda today. This did include some baubles for my Christmas tree (I'm going for a vintage style theme in pale green and pink) but I can't be bothered to work out the cost separately.

Got to sit down and meal plan now, as I bought what was cheap meatwise. Pork loin steaks, meatballs and diced chicken which would usually be in 3 for £10 offer, but I paid £5.60.
