Gosh Page 9 already and it's still November.

Please can you put me down for £ 240 again, though I know I've got Chrissy but MUST eat more out of freezers and cupboards ( exits muttering more freezer food etc) :rotfl:

Hope you all have a good Saturday start to the month

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Hi All :) Once again, thanks to everyone who contributes to making this thread so great.

I am going back to £400 this month please. i dont think i'll hit that amount, but i still have Christmas food to buy.
  • Argh I still havent done my meal plan for this month I must get on and do that before I head off to work.

I have done a fair bit of shopping already (we got paid 25th) but that was mainly on store cupboard stuff and monthly nonperishable goods. Looking at the whole picture I think we might actually come in under budget for December (would be a first!) would have a better idea if I emptied the freezer and cupboard when I do my menu plan.

Am going to grab the wine deal at MrS tonight for the in laws ready for christmas/new year (which we all spend together).

got to find the Advent calendars that I got on offer ages ago and hid ready for tomorrow!

Paying off debt bit by bit
  • My freezer is almost empty, apart from some frozen chopped leeks (will be used for broth) some waffles, will be used at lunch, and some sprouts (used weekly). So i'm gonna give it a christmas clean, then go to iceland and fill it up! :D

First weekly shop of December - £89.24 but it included things like electric toothbrush heads, dishwasher tablets etc. - if I didn't count them I'd be rather pleased on the pure food spend ;)

I'd like to join with a target of£175.

There's me and two children and not sure if anyone will join us for Christmas but groceries which are specifically for Christmas that I wouldn't normally buy in a normal month won't be going into my grocery spend ie Christmas chocs, alcohol and the meat for the day.
  • First shop done and £95 spent including pet food, toiletries, nappies etc. Bonus though is that a lady came and collected something this morning from ebay and paid cash £46 so i paid £45 cash and swiped the rest through out of the budget account - a dent of £50 feels a little better than almost £100! :j

Our Lidl had a mountain of advent calenders down to 19p plus some interesting food offers - £2 for 2 clarks maple syrups for example.

There is a £5 off a £35 valid until tomorrow via the Facebook page but you have to share your friend list to get it which is annoying.
