Can I please join. I have been doing the grocery challenge as a lurker since october after our shopping spends we're going up each month. Blew the budget in October (330/240) so increased to 300 in November and we should just about come under that. Can I try280for December please.Grocery challenge: dec 294/280, January 250/250, February 168/200:T march 258/2600 -
First spend of December (month start 22nd Nov) yesterday.
A massive £53.90 spent out of £105 budget.
I did stick to my list, but picked up some great YS meat, so OK with my spend.
Bought enough vegetables to last the month as well.
Like most people here, don't think I could stick to my budget without YS, so when it's there, I take it.
*****
Fillet steak with either mash or HM chips on the menu tonight. Excited!

Hi Fru-gal
I have found this forum a great help, and even came in under budget last month - which I definitely couldn't have done without the GC. Before I just would have spent it.M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -

Welcome to the thread fru-gal. I just came back to this challenge last month and already feel more in control of the spends. Best of luck.0 -

Its not a recipe as such I just put a steak on a big square of foil and top with sliced onion and mushrooms a sprinkle of garlic powder and a couple of sprays frylight. wrap it up as a parcel and bake it the Halogen for about 20 to 30 mins (depends how thin I have cut the steak) You can add different toppings , I have done these with sliced potato, onion and celery, Pork steak with apple and sweetcorn. I like doing this as can put a couple of baked potatoes in with the parcel at the same time. Have one with the steak and have the other for lunch next day.Slimming World at target0 -
Have had first spend of December grocery budget. Spent £5 in the market on fruit and veg; £3.74 in Ald! and £11 in Mr Ts - which included 2 chickens for £6 which wasn't on my list but such a bargain and I'm sure I'll use it during December and/or January. So a total spend of £19.74; the additional £10 showing in my total is a £10 carry forward from the huge amount of steak I got at a bargainous price last month; 3 more months of £10 (Jan-Mar) to cover the original £50 cost.
