My December budget starts today and already spent £62 in MrT on stocking up some cleaning stuff and deodorant etc and some normal groceries. I am about to look through the cupboard and freezer and start my monthly meal plan eating what we have in first.
We are at the inlaws for xmas day and boxing day and I am getting a few bits to take (£30 max spend as I also bought a bottle of champagne whilst it was on offer a while back). I wont be drinking on either of those days so will also need to take some soft drink with me. I saw in MrT yesterday a drink called Ame which I used to have years and years ago so might have that as I cant drink Shloer anymore on account of living off it when I was pregnant lol cant stand the stuff now! If I dont get that then I shall stick with my blackcurrant squash and soda water usual.2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.

Just a quick post to let peeps know Asda have beef joints on offer at £4 killo, this has been 7.50 for ages which I wont pay. Its lovely roasted as it is but I like to buy a large joint cut into joint for roasting for dinners and sandwich meat take off some slices to make steak and mushroom parcels, dice some for casserole curry and pies. It saves a fortune to cut up your own, their diced beef is twice this price.
I have bought 3 joints so better get myself into the kitchen and start
playing being a butcher:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

November budget was way to ambitious for my first month so taking into account how much we really spend and the fact it is coming up to xmas, I have put Decembers budget at £200.
I will start to take it gradually down in January. I have a Mr T order already processed ready to be delivered on the 1st so technically I have already spent £115.35 out of December budget this includes meals for most of December and some xmas booze. Will just need to top up with any extras that may need or have forgotten.That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

Don't have the receipt to hand, but spent:
£4 on catfood (normally £5.49, sodding senior cat! I've tried him on cheaper food but it lead to....unpleasantness :eek:)
£1 on bread for Mr Mooo (He's a Warburton's man and I can't get him to change!)
£0.26 on two loaves for me (reduced!) One Warburton's Wholemeal and the other WW.
£1 for two packs of crumpets
So, that makes £6.26 by my reckoning!0 -
Losing it here - thought I was at the end of my 4 weeks of November GC but realised this is week 4. Oh well - not going to mess about so my December GC will be 5 weeks.
Spend of £3.94 today.
For dinner we had HM Salmon Quiche + HM wedges + roasted red onion, white onion, yellow pepper, tomatoes. I tipped some of the yummy juice over my veggies. Of course tartare sauce was called for. I used Jerk seasoning on the wedges.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

First spend of December, albeit a small one. £1.98 on crisps, chocolate and biscuits which I want to last the next week.
I thought I'd buy it today so I could limit my snack spending. The plan is when I do my big shop I will only have things to make proper meAls in it.0
