I was lucky last night-shopping late. Lots of YS shopping! Fresh meatballs which were £2 down to 50p in Coop. Reduced baguettes-a pack of four for 25p, reduced spring greens just 30p and a few other things too. Only spent just over £8 and came out with loads. I don't think I can do any more shopping-nowhere to put it!!!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

Spend of £13.41 in Mr S today. Have been given £6 of £40 coupon for Mr S. Also have £5 off £40 in Mr T. Will have to see if I can split shopping to use both.
Well done to everyone coming in under budget. I think it's harder this time of year with more tempting treats.
One more week of November left for me.0 -

I've just put the slow cooker on with tomorrows dinner in it. 1 and half packs of the meatballs, potatoes, onions carrots tinned toms and stock cubes. total cost of about £2. There will be too many veggies but I will serve that as soup at tea time. In the oven I've put 12 of the reduced sausages(2 packs of Richmond for £1.13) to be eaten with the baguettes so dd and ds can snack all they like. I am cooking my butter-nut squash as well like Jamie Oliver did -chucked it in the pan whole and popped it in the oven. When it is all soft and mushy, take it out, slice it lengthways and scoop out the seeds-the rest is all edible. He did say to set the seeds aside and roast them-then you can eat those too!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

Hello everyone
Been MIA all week as back to work this week, am declaring my spends as the following -
A*di - £10.50 which included veggies, salad, sandwich fillings, cereals and nuts.
Co*p - £6.48 for steak, milk, peppered steak pies for 89p and two packs of richmond sausages reduced to 65p a packet
Morribobs - £15.04 which included deodorant, bath stuff and YS bread and some fish and more fruit and veg.
Like another poster said without the YS items I would struggle to come in under budget, will update my sig and think have come in under which is a miracle for four adults however this has included using up lots of freezer and storecupboard items which are now much more manageable.
Probably have enough to cover the week although I get paid on Wednesday and do not need anything else, going to 'ignore' pay day and menu plan til the weekend so will be a full 30 days on the challenge.
Will be back to post menu .....January 2020 Grocery challenge £119.45/£200
February 2020 Grocery challenge £195.22 /£200
March 2020 - gone to pot...

May 2020 - £194.99/£3000 -
I have spent £12 today and £10 yesterday on bits for the week ahead, including £3 of things to go in a charity cheese and wine hamper I'm making up (still to get the cheese).
I picked up some YS wild mushrooms yesterday, but when I got home I noticed I'd been charged full price for them. I had felt I was treating myself by buying them at the reduced price (same price as normal mushrooms, but a lot fewer mushrooms), and feel I've just wasted money on something frivolous now! If I was going to push the boat out and treat myself to something frivolous, it would not have been on mushrooms...
I'm left with just over £20 for the rest of the month, but want to try and get next weeks food shopping within this budget as well - including the cheese board for my charity raffle prize, so hoping Aldo gets the christmas section out soon!0 -
Morning All
I spent £67.96 in Asda this week. That includes £11 worth of Christmas food and drink though.
Haven't bought lunch or breakfast out at all this month either, so am really pleased with myself
Have been thinking about Decembers budget and think i'll just add on an extra £100 to cover all food/drinks/baking stuff.0 -
I've been off the radar for the last week as our internet has been down
Hadn't kept an eye on the grocery spends, and was dreading totalling it all up, as I have been to a few shops in the last week.
Sat down today and added it all up and was pleasantly surprised!! Two shops at Lidl and a shop at Sainsbobs, minusing the Xmas presents as they are a different budget, total spends for the week £41.46! Very pleased as I thought it was more.
DH bought the ingredients last week for Skint Dads Chinese roasted chicken (http://skintdad.co.uk/2013/10/saturday-night-fakeaway-chinese-roasted-chicken-vegetable-fried-rice-and-spring-rolls/) but used his own money and won't tell me what it cost, so I can't add that - he said it was his treat as he thought he was in the bad books for falling asleep on the last train home and missing his stop after going to the rugby and I had to drive to pick him up at 2am (I was a bit annoyed but found it funny to be honest!) - it was very yummy and he's added to the storecupboard - and was probably cheaper than a takeaway!
Going to update sig now!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
:jGood Morning! I said earlier in the week that I was doing well with my budget and as tomorrow is payday I can confirm I've come under budget by £25
This is the first time I have managed to stick at my budget and not "borrow" from elsewhere. I'm well ahead with my Christmas presents, so this morning we are doing a Christmas food/present inventory, and working out our December spends.
I found out yesterday I've got a new job with more hours too! :j0/4500
