That was a good haul meg72.
I don't shop at the right time although the village co-op does 75% off sometimes. Tonight this resulted in a 25p cabbage and 63p on 5kg of potatoes. They also gave me a money off coupon card because I used my membership card - £2 off a £20 and so on. Thanks. as you say its all about being there the right time, I do know asdas reduction time but usually avoid as it can get to be quite a scrum and as have reduced mobility now have got very nervous about being pushed and shoved but today because of the event, whatever it was. the store was almost empty.
You got a great deal on your cabbage and potatoes.Slimming World at target0 -

K9 - sorry this post is a bit late but I know what you mean about finding clothes for your 10 year old. I've found that with both my son (now 15 and 6'1'') and my daughter (11) that when they hit around 10/11 it becomes really hard to find anything that fits - they are too big for child stuff and too small for adult. With my son I found Peacocks was the best place but I am struggling a bit with my daughter. I did find some stuff in H&M and some nice jeans in the younger (but very small section) of New Look. She is just about big enough for some size 6 or even 8 stuff to fit her - jumper and cardigan type stuff, and she had to have black trousers for orchestra and I've ended up with M&S size 6 lady's ones which are too long but very straight so sit on top of her shoes - they are jersey pull on ones so hard to take up. And rather more expensive than I would have liked!
Sorry, bit off of the GC topic but I had to share difficulty!
And I finished jury service today!!!!! :jMay spend - £291.40/£320.00
June spend - £106.40/£320.000 -

Glad it isn't just me. Have tried Mr T and Asd* as normally their stuff fits but havent a H and M local and find their stuff is skinny fit too. I looked around for size 8 today too, but there was nothing suitable. I might try a few more places online but everywhere seems to do leggjngs/skinny jeans which she doesn't fit in. Will have a gander at N*xt, M &S and New L**k online, see what they have to offer.
Bet you're breathing a sigh of relief now you've finally finished jury service. We were rather naughty yesterday and bought six bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau, but we alway save a couple for Christmas supper - family tradition.
M&S are selling them at £7.49 each but when you buy two it gets discounted to £12 for the pair - it wasn't advertised anywhere though - maybe a till glitch at the store I used?
Anyway, last shop of the month tomorrow and I have £70 left so all should be good.

Aldi is a 45min bus ride for me so don't go often and usually make a day of it as there is also a market and 6 or 7 good charity shops so decided to go anyway and just do the market and charity shops, had a lovely mooch and picked up some bargains.
books 3 for £1, a pair of big red velvet curtains to make stockings and gift bags for Christmas fair £2 3 really nice old glass bead necklace, to break up and make bracelets, 50p each and a bag of keyring findings for 50p. very pleased with my £5 spend.
I got back to the town centre at 4pm and was just going to get my bus home when I met a neighbour who told me asda had great reductions and was almost empty due to something going on outside, not sure what maybe the Christmas lights switch on, She said they had boxes of 6 free range eggs for 20p so thought it worth a look. They did too bought 5 boxes to make jars of pickled eggs. I spent £14.49 all up got loads, fish pie pieces £1.18 instead
£3, £2 pizzas for 40p, yogurts 50p instead of £1,95, bags of carrots and parsnips 20p , bags of stirfry 20p. at a quick count up everything would have come to over £40.
Out of 31 items 6 of these were full price, liver, pitta bread . oil. lettuce, 2 tins 17p custard total £3.
The shop assistant who was doing the reductions told me that the manager had said anything left at 7pm was to be reduced to 10p
and there was loads there when I left so I hope someone had a really good haul, too late for me to be out as no bus home but have facebooked to let peeps know .
think this is the longest post I have ever written but I had to share with someone or bust.
:T:T:T:T:T:T:T What a haul! It's so exciting isn't it?

Done my last shop of the month yesterday and spent £7.98 in Mr Ms and £20.02 in Mr Ts so a total of £28 exactly. Will update signature shortly but am definitely under budget so that will be added to December's budget.

Have now updated signature and have spent £199.18/£250, so £50 extra for December:j:j0 -
