As another shortie, that's why I prefer drawer freezers to chest freezers. It provides much better access.
:rotfl:Who are you calling 'shortie'?!? Didn't you know I'm 5 feet 2 inches TALL.... (yes, i do have Napoleon / small dog complex) :rotfl:[/QUOTE]

Trying to make me feel old eh?:D mine was my gran's and a metal one with lift out 'legs' to stand upright.Never seen a plastic one the one I inherited was glass which was why it broke when dropped, my dear Mum had a metal one but it was hit and miss turning it out, manys the time heard her swear when running under hot water tap resulted in jelly going down the sink.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Yes - remember the feeling. Used to stand in a bowl of hot water and then kind of wobble it until loose all round the edges. Don't seem to get the same kind of fun nowadays :rotfl:AlwaysHappy wrote: »My month has finished today and I can declare at £298.79/£300 so at least its under!! Will stick to same next month

Oh, final figures to be agreed, but do do think we managed withing a few £££ of the £260 goal I set this month (4 week period ending Friday)
Although with the baby being born, we've had to expenses from the savings which were food related:
£10 on frozen pizza for DH, children and in-laws while I was in hospital (snack food for me was included too)
£25 on McDonalds because I just could not be bothered to cook, and we've not had it in 4 years (DD1 has never experienced it!)
But last night I cooked cottage pie, my meal plan is now rejigged and I have my next '4 weekly' big shops arriving tonight
So time to roll up my sleeves and make sure anymore slips are just bread and 'if it' with no more take-aways.We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
I'm feeling quite proud, I had 7 people here for dinner last night, eveything came from freezer and stores, 3 different curries, one left for me a DS to eat tonight. Cinnamon and cardoman rice, home made olive and spinich pitta breads and rice pud to follow, everything came from stores and the freezer. Ive started to defrost the freezer now which still has one frozen drawer, and *luxury* I spy some potato cakes in there. Once its defrosted it will go on FB sales as my DS has given me a small freezer which is easily enough for the two of us. The money will come off my mortgage. All I've this week so far is milk.Barclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

71.94 spent so far out of 125, my month ends on 25th Nov, so still a little in the kitty, next month may be more expensive as I now need to empty the small freezer.Barclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest
