In:  6 packs of chicken thighs (each pack enough for 2 portions) - this was a big pack divided
Out:  2 x 4 sausages; keema curry; burgers; burger buns x 2; naan x 2 - all transferred into the ice box of our motorhome fridge for the weekend.  They will be to come out of the fridge and cupboards to make up meals for the long weekend

How about poached pears in red or white wine?  It's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head!

Might be worth googling for ideas.  I wonder is Hugh F-W might have some recipes?

It's a few days since posting, however apart from milk, bread and a few other staples which I have delivered from a supermarket and keep in the freezer until needed,I have managed to not add anything else to the freezers.

I went through the fridge yesterday to use up anything I could. Three sausages plus an apple from the bowl went into making 6 sausage rolls (puff pastry out of freezer), Soup made from leftover turkey from a couple of days ago plus veg from the fridge  - the carrots were bendy, outside stalks of celery, a couple of small parsnips plus a leek that was reaching for the sky out of veg plot, plus some swiss bouillon made quite a tasty soup (just enough for two)  A couple of pieces of venison fillet left over from the weekend turned into hot venison sandwiches which we had for tea yesterday. My DH says we always seem to be living on 'leftovers'!! (turkey and venison were originally from the freezer)

Today - small piece of pork shoulder out of freezer to make pulled pork on buns for tea and there should be enough to stretch for tomorrow - I see what my DH means when he says 'not leftovers again'

As we are away in our motorhome for a few days freezer space is limited to say the least.  Today's meals from the freezer are burgers and rolls for lunch and keema curry for dinner.

    Nothing in!
