Ditched: I cleared out the dry goods shelf in my larder cupboard and made myself ditch some very elderly cous cous and wild rice.

No local weekend shopping purchases yesterday (Saturday). Worked out approximately how much free blackberries and free blackcurrants have been had so far (approx. 2 kilo) and still some left.

I recently bought a delicious gf granola from M&S, I don't live any where near to a store and it was rather expensive, so today I am going to raid the stores for oats, coconut, seeds, nuts and dried fruit and see what I can concoct. I will be putting the oven on to bake some bread for OH so should tie in nicely.

Just a bit of "yellow-sticker" salad purchased yesterday.

Update at the end of the second week of my mini-challenge ( to reduce freezer contents of two full drawers to just one full drawer by the end of this month) :-

The space in the two freezer drawers appear to make up 85% emptied so far.
  • OUT of Freezer - HM Soup for evening meal tonight. Leek & Potato for OH and Magic Soup for me .

Will need to buy some fresh milk, fresh fruit and 'buttery spread' today - and I'm sure that I won't be able to walk past the 'whoopsie cabinet' without at least having a look at it ;)!
