I've been meaning to go to Waitrose as I've got 10% off until tomorrow but it's in the next town and I'd have to get a bus there. I could get a delivery but it's a minimum of £60.

Didn't go, and now I have vouchers for £9 off a £60 shop or £10 off £100 shop on line. There is no way I can carry £60 worth of shopping or need £100 worth. Doing wonders for my purse.

    In my cupboards

custard powder - don't know when I last made custard

oats - I use in muesli, but not made it for a while - new resolution, have started making muesli again

sponge flour - no idea when I will use this up

1 packet of coconut flour - used some of this up with the pastry but still have a lot left. Coconut tarts in Freezer.

Self raising flour - no idea when I will use this up

Plain flour - no idea when I will use this up

Thai curry paste - packet for 10-12 servings - have used a third of this today

Tin thai curry - not ever tried this, waiting for the day I decide to try it

[STRIKE]Keralam curry[/STRIKE] - ate it, but was not impressed

coconut oil x 2 - one started, not using as quickly as I thought

PG tips and Nescafe - I don't drink either so depends on who visits as to when they get used up

basmati rice - I'm not that good with rice, tend to use tilda packets

    One Tilda packet rice, lol

    [STRIKE]Peppermint tea[/STRIKE] - given to my daughter

[STRIKE]5 packets of Sensations[/STRIKE] - given to family

I've only spent 36.90 on groceries this month - I'm very pleased about this

I have done even better this month - only spent £30.79. I have bought bread, orange juice, milk, broccoli, carrots, eggs, potatoes, Quorn, cheese spread, baked beans, almonds and Alpen bars.

    February 2018 update :-

Mini challenge to use up freezer stored 2017 batch cooked recipes (several of each) = 7/11.

Freezer drawers now empty = 2 drawers and one third of a drawer approximately from 4 drawers. The start of February = 1 drawer and two thirds approx.

Food money expenditure for that month decreased compared to January 2018.
