The march to financial freedom

Thanks EE, I popped back in there today for my sins :rotfl:. Long queue again, 1 cashier again and need an appointment that is nearly as long a wait as the GP surgery :rotfl: . Good news though, the account has over £11 in it (thought it was £10
).
GP phoned about DS referral. Horrified to learn that the only paperwork on file relating to DS's 6 years of seeing Paediatricians and opthalmologists is 2 letters. None of the CCd letters are on file, but new GP was fab and a potted history by me later and she is jumping on sorting his podiatry referral. I thought they were meant to keep full medical records?
At least work was good and a steady rest of the week is due.
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery checked
- Nectar adpoints - I can see ads to watch, but they won't click open to view. Last week's points are still showing too.
- Nectar Search - up at 51/100
- Nectar card value - £119.38
- Inbox Pounds - £17.43
- Qmee - nothing new, 21p in the pot
Nothing else to report today.Back on the DFW Wagon:

CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

Feeling somewhat impatient about the CC debt today, so having paid £20 in £1 coins in last week, I've just been to the bank and paid in £10 in 20p's and £5 in 5p's and then come home and done a faster payment of £35 off the CC. :j

Evening Diary,
The highlight of today (aside from £35 paid to the CC), was the hospital returned my phone call about a Neurology appointment, so need to phone them back on the direct line number they've given me. Job for first thing tomorrow morning. :j
Work all good, more trickling in for next month, so it's looking like a steady run up to Christmas rather than the manic few months it normally is, but then August and last month were way beyond expectations.
Financials then:
- bank account checked. Monthly use and pay off CC full payment goes out tomorrow
- freepostcodelottery checked
- Nectar adpoints - emailed about it not working, apparently a technical fault. Now fixed and have 16 points in the bag
- Nectar Canvass - not looked at
- Nectar Search - up at 57/100
- Nectar card - still at £119.38
- Inbox Pounds - concentrating efforts here and up at £17.71
- Qmee - nothing extra, 21p in the pot
Tomorrow it's work as usual, but we're off to the theatre tomorrow night, so they'll be a bit of a spend on car parking and ice cream in the interval. I'm driving the first bit, then friend is driving the motorway bit. A late night to come.Back on the DFW Wagon:

A lunchtime diary entry, a bit novel for me!
I've finished work for the week as I'm shattered. Show at the theatre was fantastic - spent £1.60 on parking and £6 for interval ice creams/drinks.
This morning I've also done the business banking, one load of washing done and on the line and the food shop. So not much work done really.
Food shop came to £33.59, but included £4 on Xmas bits for DS's stocking and extra food for tomorrow as the garden project gang are here to do the grids, gravel and slabs for the wheelie bins to go on. So I needed more cocoa to make muffins and lunch and evening meal extras. How excited am I? :j:j:j (About the garden not the cooking :rotfl:)
Financials - not done much here as yet:
- bank account checked and done a TT of £6.61 to savings
I'll report on the rest of those later.
I did make progress yesterday on the Neurology/MRI stuff. Spoke to the hospital Secretary - they have not received a referral for me . Phoned GP surgery, who in direct opposition to Monday were able to tell me that my GP made the referral the day I saw her (17th Sept) and marked it urgent and it was faxed. They're going to do it again. So that was 4 wasted weeks . Even the Secretary said 2 weeks max for urgent requests. On the upside I don't need the telephone appointment next week with the GP to tell her I hadn't received a hospital appointment as yet...at least we know why now.
This afternoon, a snooze is in order :rotfl: Not very money saving but I am feeling exhausted at the moment. I want to get my hair coloured after that, make muffins then I've to take DS for his physio appointment. Still busy!!
I would say I'm planning a restful weekend, but can't see that materialising. If the weather is decent Sunday, will take the dogs for a longer walk somewhere different. About time they had new ground to sniff out and new mud to bring home :rotfl:
Catch up later and hope everyone is having a good Friday.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Must thank my Mum for that, she'd been nagging me for quite a while.
All the financials done, no real change to report on anything.
DS's physio appointment showed some more improvement :T so we are to keep up the exercises he's been given and only need to go back if things get worse.
Muffins not made, hair not coloured (I slept too long this afternoon), never mind - first thing tomorrow for the baking then.
Dinner was chilli from the freezer batch, got a YS beef joint defrosting for tomorrow evening and DS's white shirts in soak, so they'll be in the machine in the morning.
Bedtime now, need to get up reasonably early and be ready for the garden gang.
Happy weekend everyoneBack on the DFW Wagon:

Afternoon Diary,
Yesterday flew by and delighted with progress in the garden, though we didn't have enough gravel, so I've ordered another bulk bag for delivery Friday afternoon. It's looking fab, but is an expensive project. Thank goodness the cost will be spread over time and next expense is the artificial grass so need to start getting a design and quotes together for it. I started to bag up the pebbles around the water feature as keeping that and weeded the last planted area - those shrubs will be moved elsewhere in the garden. Some extra top soil has been moved to the front garden to break down the clay in readiness for planting there.
Made a big batch of triple chocolate chunk muffins that went down well, alongside a roast beef dinner and copious mugs of tea! Made time to do all the usual financials as well.
A nice lay in today, but my body balance and vision is bad this morning - had trouble driving just to the local retail park, as I reserved and collected a retractable washing line (old one too short to reach the original pole) from Arg0s this morning (£5.99). Old one we're going to put up in the garage - I'd not thought of hanging washing in there before. I've also ordered part of an early Christmas present from my Mum - a wall mounted auto-reel hosepipe. Ever Miss Practical, it's to replace my kinked and leaking 28 year old one but at £100 didn't want to buy it myself
. I'm also having a Better Back Bag that I've been after for a while, so they're 2 needed items that I'm delighted about.
The reel and washing line will be fitted next weekend when the garden gang are back to finish the gravel area. Then work will stop I think until 17th November when the next big phase takes place complete with free skip again.
Financials:
- bank account checked

- Nectar adpoints - up at 34 points

Electric and gas readings done and spreadsheet updated. If I've worked the gas out correctly, the cost since moving to new supplier in March is @ £163 which gives @ £272 in credit ready for the winter. Electric was down again and we're running a month's credit there. Can really start to compare with last year with the spreadsheets a year old.
Housework, ironing and work stuff all need doing later, but taking it easy as don't feel well at all. Better do lunch and chivvy DS along with his homework. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.Back on the DFW Wagon:
