    Thanks everyone!!! :D

Brizzle - I will endeavour to update during the night feeds, using a tablet at the same time is a bit beyond me at the mo, give me a couple of weeks and I'll have cracked it tho :p

Alex - you may well be psychic, perhaps another string to add to your bow?! ;)

All is going well here, its so lovely to have hubby off for a while and we are just enjoying low key days as a foursome. We all went out together for the first time yesterday in the sunshine which was gorgeous :heart2:

I caught up with the spending diary last night, using the magic of receipts, internet banking and repeated questioning of DH on just how many times he bought coffee from the hospital canteen while I was in :o We were hideously over budget for the fortnight prior to DS2's arrival but because we stocked up we should be massively under budget this fortnight.

The tenant situation appears to be almost resolved :) more on this another time.

Its a beautiful day here today, and i have to wait in for the midwife!! I'm hoping she comes early so I can get out again later.
Hope you've all got sunshine wherever you are
    Daisy :)

Just sneaking a quick check in while DH is out with DS1, and DS2 is snoozing in my arms :)

So, things that have broken down in the last couple of weeks are: the dishwasher, the freezer and the car  Just what you need with a newborn and a toddler :o The car is now fixed FOC due to our AA membership through our bank account :D and DH appears to have fixed the freezer using the power of the internet :) This just leaves the dishwasher, which looks like it needs replacing :(

This means no overpayments yet again at this moment, but I'm just rolling with it and hanging on for the end of April, when we'll know exactly how much DH will be bringing home and we can refresh the spreadsheets :)

Apologies for not getting to other people's diaries at the mo, I am reading but typing is a bit beyond me for most of the day!!

It's definitely worth you seeing if you can fix the dish washer for a fraction of the cost of buying a new one. These days I'd have a go and be sure the item was "unfixable" before buying a new one but a few years back I would not be bothered. However, my mother is adverse to ever buying new appliances because it's a "waste of money", instead she has over the years fixed numerous problems on appliances, some of which I have no doubt must be as old as me.

On the flip side, you do not NEED a dish washer.... this is MSE after all. ;)

Sadly the dishwasher was this time beyond repair - well beyond repair that would have saved us money anyway. It had a good life and served us well, but now a shiny new one is sitting in the kitchen, bought after consulting price comparison and cash back websites OBVIOUSLY ;)

I agree Alex - we don't NEED a dishwasher, but the 3 and a half hours we worked out it would save us every week (yes, we really did discuss it to this degree :p) made us decide the outlay was worth it.
