Just found this thread and read all of the posts. Lots of great ideas and as I have stacks of craft supplies I think I need to get started. Really haven't thought about Christmas yet but must start soon.
With the candles I was wondering if the top layer of a three ply napkin would work. There are so many lovely designs and it may be easier than trying to print on tissue paper.

Over the years the presents that have gone down well in our house are
Personalised christmas books for younger kids printed out for free from internet.
Buying the transparent craft boxes with compartments and filling each one with a different selection of sweets. The 20, 17 and 10 year old all insist in having this. Home Bargains have them for about £2. I am still using same ones purchased years ago. Just give them a wash and put away until the following Christmas.
Hot chocolate, marshmallows and chocolate in a nice mug.
Loving the ideas on here.
EDIT just remembered did a few home made food hampers last year that went down very well. Bought most things while on offer from. M and S.
Enjoyed by those elderly relatives who only like practical presents.
Wrapped cardboard rd box in gold paper, used brown paper shred as base and put in
Christmas cake
Tin of salmon
Tin of soup
Tea bags
Jam
Chocolate biscuits
Chocolates
Can't remember what else!!!!!
Wrapped up in cellophane with big bow.
As I had bought most of it by end of October with normal shopping didn't feel the cost.Money SPENDING Expert0 -
