I made these one year with a slanted piece of contrasting material on the front. I used this pocket to put gift cards in. You could also put money in them if you wanted to.0 -

I usually do something similar, record bowls, fabric hearts (easy even if you cant sew very well), chocolate stirrers, retro sweet hamper, sugar scrub, chocolate bark. All very easy things to make. Let me know if you need any more info on any I've listed. HTH
Is there a link for the after eight mints mints please, they sound good.0 -

That's a good idea OMO, I'll keep that in mind for next time xIs there a link for the after eight mints mints please, they sound good.
Its literally just dark choc and trebor extra strong mints. Melt the choc in a bowl over a pan of hot water and when melted, add the crushed mints and spread thinly in a tray lined with parchment paper. Once its cool, break into small pieces. There is a way to temper the choc etc, but tbh I've never needed to and haven't had any complaints!marshy1985 wrote: »Have you got a link for the sugar scrub please?? Xx
Again, its so easy. In fact its so easy, I was embarrassed to tell someone how I made it when they kept raving about what a gorgeous gift I had given them and they needed the 'recipe' :rotfl:. Pick a gorgeous smelling shampoo, liquid soap etc and add a small amount to a bowl of sugar. That is it :T. Sounds strange but Pomegranate Fairy Liquid is the one I found most people loved. It smells so good it makes your mouth water!:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Not sure if its already been suggested but how about homemade chocolate slabs? And home made peppermints? I remember making these with my auntie when I was about 8. Can't remember the recipes but I know they tasted awesome. Also how about the homemade gifts in a jar?? There's loads of ideas on Pinterest and they're not really crafty but look rather pretty. Just add your own decorations etc et voila looks as good as the shops but hopefully costs a lot less.
Hope these helped

Snowball Soap
I made these last year. Easy to make.
Grate 2 and a half bars of white soap (dove is best). Add a small amount if water and make a snowball.
I put mine in cupcake boxes.0 -
You can make chutneys, jams (just made some mulled wine and plums - very nice), career chilli jam, Xmas cake cupcakes (much easier than the actual Xmas cakes and apparently very nice too, dunno I can't stand the stuff), flavoured oils, flavoured salts, snowman soups, sugar lip scrubs, granola, foot scrubs, preserved ginger, little felt hand warders and felt flower brooches? None of these are hard or mega expensive. Pinterest is really good but I do find some of the ideas are just too American if you know what I mean0

Cakeforbrains- Can i Ask you how you stick your ribbon on your Sugar Scrub jars? I use the jars for my craft fairs quite a lot but I cant get anything to stick to the lids!!
Thanks in advance
