    It may be possible to improve then by improving the connection with better scart leads. It would probably be the first thing I'd try. But as Bextech points out, you're going to be rather limited by the resolution of the source anyway and larger screens make lower resolutions more obvious.

    The audio bit rates don't need to be high, the perception of human hearing wouldn't notice that much of an improvement on that bit rate and trying to improve it would give diminishing returns for the infrastructure needed.
