As she has left you bad feedback before you have had chance to sort this out I would reply to it with a short but factual response. This lady is out to make trouble. I would not refund and would neg her in return for leaving bad feedback before giving you time to sort it out. As you have more than 100 feedback and she has 5 it will damage her more than you, and may make her think again about reading a description carefully before bidding.
Hope it works out. Also definitely add her to your blocked bidder list.0 -

Kerry, don't forget that you can leave a follow up comment to the feedback left by her. This means that when people read feedback left for you, they will also see your explanation underneath. Follow up her feedback with something like
"Item description clear. Buyer admitted she didn't read it."
If you scroll down to the bottom of your feedback, you'll see a link which says "Reply To Feedback Received". Click that, then reply to the feedback she left you.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I'd state 'buyer believed I had revised the listing after the auction - impossible!' or something like that.
I'd also find the eBay help page which deals with revisions, send her a link, and quote the bit that says an item can't be revised after it's had bids. Just to rub her stupid nose in it.0 -
Neg her back, pointing out that description stated 'is scratched' and 'in great condition for age' and photos clearly showed condition. make some snide comment like "avoid, buyer does not read descriptions".
people can follow it through to the item and see who is at fault! I bet she will soon ask to mutually remove...
I agree with this post - I think your description was fine and clear enough with all the pictures you used. Also as Bluebell13 states, the neg will hurt her more than it will hurt you!0 -
i would always refund if someone was unhappy for any reason. you can get your money back through mutally agreeing not to go ahead with the sale and I write in my description that i will refund, but not postage. I don't see why it's such a problem - it doesn't happen often and i think for some people it's really important for people to know that you will refund if there is a problem. I work on the premise that the majority of people are good and honest. If you had hassled me for payment as you have for this customer, i wouldn't have wanted to shop with you again. Yes, you can only revise the auction if there are no bids. After this you can only add to it a different section beneath the original description. So this was revised before any bids.
I wouldn't refund, particularly as you are still negotiating with her and she has already negged you. You had good clear photographs of the item.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
