I'm loving reading all these stories, it reminds me of all the money I've found in the past.
When my best friend and I used to walk round the streets (sounds well but we were 16/17 at the time and had nothing better to do), we were walking up to a McDonald's..she found a £20 and I was gutted, but then found a £10 not too far away. Needless to say we went straight to Maccies and had a lovely free meal and split the rest.
I found a £10 in the long grass while walking the dog once, and one time we were going to a wedding and stopped off at Chiquitos...for some reason my husband decided to put his hands down the back of the chair and came up with £30!! It paid the bill!
I'm always finding pennies etc... and any that I find lying around the house go straight in to our change jar.Debt as of Sept' 2015 (LBM!): £36,351  (sickening)
Monthly outgoings on debt alone: £1243/month
We're on the right path, we got ourselves here..we're a bit lost, but we'll find our way back again!0 -
Around 3 or 4 times a week I have to cross the severn bridge. Every time I do I feel a cold rage building in me. That was until I started using the coin bins. Several times I have come through them with a profit! There was once so much change in the reject tray that I couldn't get it all with one scoop. I counted it up and found that not only had I earned the £6.20 "refund" I had also got my next trip over sorted too!
So my tip is use the coin bins! Especially on a Friday afternoon. People are in such a hurry to get home or so scared of getting hooted at for taking too long they just throw money at the things!0 -

Fry00 your story reminds me of when I was going through the Dartford tunnel many years ago, and I threw my 50p (what it cost then) at the bin and MISSED - I DID get out and hunt for it - and found it - but I was SO embarrassed at the time. The things are big enough, don't know how I missed!:rotfl:£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

I once found £10 on the floor in Aldi, not long before closing no one else around so I pocketed it. Then I got a fit of guilt, drove to Asda and put it in the local hospice charity collection box. I'll never get rich by this method!0

Yesterday I had just left court after attending a redetermination hearing with Nationwide, felt quite low and sorry for myself (even though the hearing went well), and found a £5 note folded into four!!:j
Several years ago (on my birthday) and only days after our kitten went missing I was rushing home in the pouring rain and found a £50 note, this was really uncanny as we had put posters up for the return of our kitten with a £50 reward if found!! Unfortunately he never turned up, I'd rather have had him than the £50DMP starts June 2012, £38,180.
Balance June 2015 £26,046 (paid off 32%)
