Im quiet lucky at finding money, I drive for a living so always keep an eye out for anything, as its amazing what can be found at the roadside, to date ive found about £90 in varying denominations just dropped on the street, freshly killed pheasants are very common in the area I work in, people hit them, but never stop to pick em up ????? they are lovely roasted with garlic, always tell when there fresh as there are feathers everywhere on the road, no feathers, don't touch it !! also found a deer once, hit by a truck, killed outright, venison is yummy:)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. The last time I found some decent money was when OH and I were on our way to see Muse at Wembley a few years ago. It was pouring with rain, and I spotted a £20 note in a puddle on the pavement! Then about 2 steps further on was a £10 note! I was amazed..obviously no one had spotted them as it was such a foul evening and in fact they had been walked over several times!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

was stood in a bar once when a woman patted my thigh, I side stepped (not my type lol) and she bent down and picked up £20 I was stood on. Wouldn't have been so bad but when I said sorry, I hadn't see it she said not to worry, she hadn't dropped it she just spotted it. Gutted haha.Littlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42

I picked up a tenner on the way home last week. Up until that moment I'd been cursing the cold, rainy weather but had it been sunny I'd probably not had my head down and would have missed it!0

If the eyes are intact the roadkill is usually fine. Eyes are the very first thing to go.
Oh and I found a fiver the other day, I am absolutley on my knees too so it was wo0nderful and helped out greatly. First significant find for me in many a year.0 -
I used to volunteer for a local credit union. Every so often the local road sweeper would come in with all his finds, it was usually about fifty quid mostly in ones and twos with the odd bit of silver. It took ages to count it all! Plus it weighed a ton to take to the post office to pay in.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Parks where the yoofs hang around is normally a good place, they are the most likely in my eyes to throw away their coppers. Not old enough or wise enough to realise that every penny counts.0

Agreed! A few months back, I watched two teenagers drop over 30p in small change on opening a purse, watch it fall, shrug and walk away. Me and two old ladies picked it up with no shame!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
I've heard that amongst the youth, peer pressure dictates that if you see money on the ground, or worse still if you drop money yourself, you don't pick it up, otherwise you get stigmatized as being poor.
Unbelievably sad...0
