Exactly, doesn't give any details on the ones who chose not to sell them their car after getting their online quote knocked down on arrival.
I'm still puzzled with the 14% who knowingly got ripped off yet accepted it. I suppose it's the ones desperate for cash and didn't have a choice, much better to feed your kids than have a shiny lump of metal on the drive.0 -
Car will already be at a nearby BCA Auction site and as WBAC are now owned by BCA the contract will be tight as a drum.
Car is gone unfortunately.
The reason why they make you wait 4 working days is so they can sell it before they pay you.
I sold my V50 to them on Friday and by Saturday it was listed at Enfield and sold on the 15th. If hadn't paid for next working day payment they would have made of profit with thin air.
A very nice business model if you can get it.
Especially if you have access to the amount of auction price data that BCA do.
They know what sells for what.
Theyy sell under CC Trade Sales.
I think they used to be part of CarCraft.0 -

The prices are fair if you haggle.
They didn't spot that my mates 4x4 had been clocked to the tune of 100k till two days after when they phoned him up, he didn't know either but it explained why it needed a turbo and the poor fuel consumption.
In my case the car needed a heater fan which is a £300 part, which i will now sell on eBay, and probably £2/300 labour as the dash has to come out and it hsd some dentd that would need fixed prior to selling which would have cost £500 (they didn't spot these!).
They made a low ball offer and i stuck to my guns for a fair price, if i had gone to a trader in the same way i woukd have been offered much less.
The reason why people winge and moan about WBAC is they have unrealistic ideas on the trade worth of their vehicles usually as people these days think a car dealer is the only person on earth that can run a business on zero profit.0 -
Oh yeah, and i didn't have to field a dozen calls when the first thing said before even seeing the vehicle is "What is your last price" or "What is your best price" if you ansewr thst question honestly to get a quick sale they turnip then turns up and offers £500 or £1000 less than that.
I think the more cars you sell the more you like the no frills get it gone WBAC approach.
Especially if you have tried to sell your own car at auction only to see it be the last car through every day purely so you can accure fees and then get a phonecall with a lowball offer that is likely from a member of auction staff, which was made after the sale, apparently.0 -

This quote could come in handy if webuyanycar ever try and back out of a contract after signing a contract.

Would love to hear the stats from the non-customers who decided not to sell after going there.
94% of people thought we were taking the p*** and drove off.
I don't think I got a fair price for my Corsa off them, I think I got an outstanding price seeing as it had about 10 minutes to live
Last seen at BCA Measham, good luck to whoever bought it.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0
