Trying to encourage DS2 to eat a piece of toast.

Am I a mean person to be enjoying the updates so much?

Struggling with small BD at mo as DH (unemployed since May) has a big BD with him :( and we're all suffering as a result

Baskets of sticks for the BDs and a random hug or three for both of you.

I have been AWOL but I am back!

BD had me well and truly backed in to a corner.

And also for you Lozzy, together with healing vibes for all your family.

All beds and towels changed, dinner cooked and eaten with some lovely leftovers for OH when his train gets in - late as usual, sadly. Mrs Dog and Devil Cat happily snoozing next to me and on me, as appropriate. Devil Cat has stopped attacking Mrs Dog and tried to get her to play with him. As with my attempt to get her to play with a tennis ball, she is very alarmed by the idea. Devil Cat is not the type to give up, so this will be interesting.
    Better is good enough.

Lozzy you really have been through the mill.....

got all washing up to date again - no point in ironing DD2 aka DS's bedding.....DD3 decided to give him a chocolate miniroll and let him smear it all over the bedding....I won't be cracking out the iron again anytime soon.

been getting rid of a lot of whoopsied food and long standing cupboard stuff......Moroccan style roast vegetables for lunch and HM vegetarian chilli (with leftover qu0rn chunks, qu0rn mince and bulgar wheat) on boiled rice for dinner - and washed up by hand, trying to cut my energy bills down - I refuse to pay £2500 for energy for the year ahead!

DD3 had braces adjusted yesterdar, then onto Spec@vers. DD3 is fine and doesn't need a new prescription and can be left for a year. DS has to go under the hospital for his eyes as there has been no real improvement in his eyesight (which funnily the EX has been saying for a while). Optician believes this may be as a result of Septacaemia when he was due date plus 2 weeks. So DS is being referred to the hospital for investigation and eye-patching is definitely on the agenda.

    ETA
Big pile of clean nappies to make up, LR and rest of downstairs to clean up before EX comes tomorrow to take young Skints swimming - no point looking for listy, too much undone
The cold never bothered me anyway

CY When we were young, with children and broke we used to take them to the recycling centre to throw the empty bottles in for entertainment. In the days before doorstep collection (and health & safety)- weren't we good?!! Those were the days!

I still do that! We don't have doorstep collection for glass.

10 days til the Birmingham meet :D

They are a lovely class and, being Y2, are at that innocent age. IF this goes onto Chrsitmas ( and it may well) I am going to have the pleasure of 29 little (Christmas is magical) people in my life.

(And their teacher ;) has already bought them a little choc treat each;) and is planning on reading The Night Before Christmas to them)

  • Hey ladies, sorry for the absence. Just got a little overwhelmed with paid stuff and flying and all the other bits I had going on, so stepped away for a couple of days.
Going to ignore the last days lists, and just start afresh next week :p the house is tidy at least.

H!ll's I/D - it's an eye-wateringly expensive prescription food, but I used it for (the real) Honey Bear post-operatively.

Try vetuk . co.uk, I get my frontline from there, half the price my vet charges and they do offers all the time, and have a loyalty scheme.
You have to send in a copy of the prescription, but it might be cheaper if they stock it.

Frontline is less effective than it used to be. It is thought the fleas are becoming resistant to it.. Our vet recommended Advantage which has been excellent for my critters and my mothers critters (I have 6 cats and she has 5 dogs)

Also you don't need a prescription to buy frontline or advantage.
