Don't worry you're doing just fine
I also worry sometimes when I look at my total bill but then when I take off cost of my baccy and wine (my only pleasures in life!!!) I find I come well in budget on the rest
I thought I'd totally blown the last couple of months budgets as I had extra deliveries in April due to Iceland closing internet shopping, plus the Tesco vouchers going out of date, then this month I did a shop at Waitrose online, but when I average them out I'm still within my budgets :j
What's even better is that I'm due to enter my June budget next week and my freezer and cupboards are jam-packed full so I hardly need to buy anything :T ... speculate to accumulate is good if you can do it"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Incidentally, off topic, but ... TV & Satellite Week, normally 95p, has a special offer of 6 for £1, then the remaining quarterly sub is at the discounted £10.99.
I don't buy magazines any more, just get library books or read stuff online. But anyway, Digiguide is an online TV guide that does so much more than a paper guide (you can search by keyword for a start) and it's less than £10 a year. Try a trial at https://www.digiguide.com0 -

I shall certainly check that out, thanks. Although, like the crisp, clean pages of a book, it is easier to check what's on the telly in the next half hour without having to boot up! But I'm sure you can probably print bits off.

Yes it is but digiguide is more like having a magazine. You can choose which channels to show and see the day on one page.
Also, if you miss something you can search it to see when it is on again, set reminders for favourite programmes ...
It isn't free like other sites but is cheaper (and, I think, better) than a tv magazine.0 -
Forgot to say you can look a week or two ahead and look at it offline.0

Could you not just use the Electronic Programme Guide?
I'd be lost without it. I have a look at the week ahead and put anything that looks interesting into the personal planner. Never see the need to check listings in a magazine or whatever.
Anyway, halfway through the month and I'm on target. Have spent £28.75 out of a budget of £60.MFW 2015 #41 = £20,515/£20,515
MFW 2014 #41 = £26,100/£25,000
MFW 2013 #41 = £10,000/£10,000
Original MF date = May 2036 - MF achieved on 15 June 20150 -
Well - half way thru month and I am well on target. Visited the butcher at start of month and spent £23. Then went home and cooked about 20 meals for freezer and have been living happily off those since. I think I'll only need to spend about £30 to see me thru to the end of the month, this would be less but I need nappies and wipes and bog roll as well as milk, bread, veggies and fruit. Am pretty happy tho as if all goes according to plan, I'll have about £30 left over for May pin! :j0
