  • now KP if you knew my son you wouldn't be saying that. He's a 15yr old mink :rotfl:. Joggers, unironed t/shirts, holey socks...........I'm sure you can imagine. E-bay would ditch me if I tried to sell his stuff

  • Eew what a rainy horrible day it is here today. We'll be needing an ark soon if we're not careful. Been lounging about all day in shorts as still really really mild here. Heating still not kicking in very often :D.

House cleaned right through. I've just posted pics of a huge offcut of carpet on local sale site for £40. If I sell that then I can recoups osme of the hotel money for Friday in Southport. The things we do for our kids. I can't even be bothered going tbh. Hey ho I've promised now.

NSD today so that's good. Gammon steaks, mash and veg for dinner and it was lush.

Ok a wee enquiry re carpet already so looking good. I also have £51 in change and a load of 50p's in my terramundi. I'll try not to touch them though as trying to save for DS's 16th in December. He wants to go kart racing and for food with some friends. My Mum paid for DD's 16th treat so I will need to do it for him as not fair that he loses out cos his Gran is no longer here :(. All good memories though. I don't mind paying when great memories will be held. xx

  • PLMBL we had such a good time.DS was totally overexcited and on way down was a cheeky horrible rat bag but a doll on the way back. He is a complete horror when he is nervous. SIL and I got on a treat. She was dying to go to bingo as she has never played bingo so I took her to the Mecca and we had a right old laugh. Never won a penny piece between us but she had a great time. I managed to start some Christmas shopping so that's good. We stayed in a premier Inn which was totally acceptable. Party was good and band were great. So all in all a good weekend. I am shattered mind you as 11 hours driving in 36 hours is a challenge. It was thunder, lightning and torrential rain on way home tonight which was a tad stressful . Home safe and sound though so that's all that matters.

Overspent a wee bit whilst away but it was worth it. Not much is going to happen money wise until after Christmas anyway, I just need to be vigilant and limit the damage over the festive period.

So I have started my new post and hopefully the job will be a goodun. Team are lovely and we had a brilliant day at Halloween. I got to use my rock and roll outfit at last so I was well happy :D.

Was so funny last night when coming home in taxi with SIL as we shared the taxi with 2 lads from Liverpool. They loved us as they love the Scots and we love the scousers so we were having a good old laugh. They took that as a come on and wanted to continue the party . We politely declined lol as I was old enough to be their Mum. Nice to know though that I still have 'it' :rotfl:.

So bed for me as I am shattered. Hope everyone is well and I will catch up soon xx

  • Ha ha ha I am about a million miles away from being a !!!!!!. They were drunk as skunks so obviously not seeing too well.

I am right annoyed at everything today. House is a mess as DD decided it was okay to do nothing whilst we were away and also to leave all her dishes lying in the sink for me coming home. How kind !! So she is now away doing my weekly shop after I shouted at her . DS has cleared out the car and hoovered it and now getting his room done. DD is to clean the loo as she NEVER ever cleans her manky hair out of the plug hole. I have cleared up downstairs and stripped my bed. I'll make that up later. Her BF is staying for dinner with no notice as per usual. She has just phoned me to say her and BF are going to make tablet !! She has been warned that every bit of mess better be cleaned up or there will be a bloody riot. I also did an inventory of my freezer and have thrown out about £10 of food that was past it's best as I have been very disorganised.:mad::mad::mad:.

So kids have been duly screeched at and are now toeing the line. Meal plan has been done and shopping list will be stuck to as DD has gone to aldi and iceland so not much temptation.

Am going to relax for a wee while and watch strictly and catch up on some diaries and my spreadsheets. Have a nice relaxing Sunday folks xx

  • Just watched Grease :D:D. Always a feel good film- 'Tell me about it stud' and Travolta's hips. Sheesh !!

Anyway. DD spent £30 on shopping for me so am happy with that. We had an awesome dinner and are all full to stuffed. Sitting here with my lovely auburn hair dye on trying to peel back the years :rotfl:. On new job tomorrow and want to feel my best.

House in a reasonable state again and equilibrium has returned. Mainly because the kids have hidden in their rooms all day other than coming out for food.

Watching x-factor now and loving the wee Scottish boy Nicholas. So cute but also very very good.

Sometimes though my kids make me awful proud of them. My neighbour of over 20 years has dementia and although she still lives a relatively normal life she has changed majorly. She came across earlier and DS opened the door . She was in a bit of a fuddle as her phone had cut out whilst she was on the phone and she said to DS 'I need your help son, you need to help me'. I jumped up to see what was wrong as she sounded so anxious and when she explained DS went across with her ( rolling his eyes I may add) and sorted her out. He came back and was quite upset as she had started crying and he gave her a wee cuddle. He said then what a wee shame Mum she is really not well and was very stressed. What a good lad taking the time to help her and have the patience to sort her out and comfort her. This is after he drove me nuts all weekend :rotfl:. So well done DS .
Just been looking at my snowball and red red red everywhere. Really struggling guys. Trying very hard but things just keep happening to me that cost a fortune. I am crossing everything that all my financial dramas are over for now. I have Christmas and a few birthdays coming up but if I can get to end of year on an even keel and get the red removed then I will be happy. I have a wee night away to look forward to with my brother, SIL, niece, her BF and my 2 kids but it's free and we will just cook dinner and have a right family day so its all good.

So I am signing off for the night. Going to wash off the dye and then get some knitting done. Take care all xx
