  • ha ha ha PLMBL was going to ask for the recipe till I saw the toilet roll comment. Don't think I'll bother. It's true though you always feel better when you do the healthy eating. Dunno if it's psychological or your body's way of saying thank you.

Spent £10 today in home bargains but got loads for it. I love that shop so much :D. I bought mug shots ( not that fussed on them but free on SW) and they were only 33p and I paid much more than that in Morrisons. I'll remember this for future reference though. I like to keep them in work incase I am hungry. Bought cup cake boxes for holding 12 cakes and they were only 89p !!! at least £2.99 online so I was very pleased. Picked up some sweets for Christmas as well for my 2 so it's all good.

DD is away for the weekend to her BF's gran's caravan so it's just DS and I and he has disappeared to my Brother's. Ah the peace and quiet is delightful :D.

I'm hugely tired tonight so I have no intentions of moving from the couch until bedtime xx

  • And I didn't move from the couch as stated except for rations :D.

Been working this morning and am shattered again. Got my antibiotics from the chemist so I am hoping once they kick in I will feel a bit more lively.

Earned £32.50 this morning and then spent £36.00 in Iceland. Am happy with that as I am now left with just under £60 to see me through till Friday. Sounds quite a lot but need £30.50 for DS school and I need petrol so bye bye money. Never mind. I don't think we need anything else so it's all good.

Just chilling now. I have sausages and stewing steak in the slow cooker for DS and I for dinner. DD is still away with her BF. The stew will make at least 2 dinners :D.

So am away to watch telly for a wee while. I'll catch up later xx

  • Amber no chill time today so far. Been cleaning since I got up. Didn't do much last week due to being away so it really needed done. All shiny now. Was furious though when I discovered that one of my darling children have spilled some sort of sauce on my new, unpaid for, hall carpet :mad: I could have cried and it was so so difficult to keep my temper. So yet again food is banned form upstairs and this tie I mean it.

Good news though I have lost 7lbs this week back on healthy eating plan. I am so pleased as I was getting quite down due to piling back on some of what I had lost. Want to be back to where I was by Christmas. Not sticking to any diet but have cut out the carp and eating decent food.

So we are off to the pics tonight to see Sunshine on Leith. It's on in our community cinema and I have been dying to see it. I of course have been stung for the tickets but it's only £18 and the kids will buy their own goodies.

So the stew I mentioned last night and was boasting that it would do 2 meals .........hmmm ....well it was smelling so good that DS and I ate it last night :o. One small portion for the freezer :o. Burgers and chips for dinner now :rotfl:. They are posh burgers though.

So I am going to chill for a wee while. Make dinner. Have a shower and head out to pics. Lovely !!!

  • Well MIT news for today. DS was caught hacking into the school's computers and almost got excluded. I am so proud :mad::mad::mad::mad:. I have removed 2 laptops, desktop, server, x-box , kindle fire and his phone from his room. I have taken them down to my friend's and he will get no access for 2 weeks. He is doing his duster but he can just bloody deal with it. I am furious and embarrassed and my trust has gone. He is just a horrible teenager just now. If his mouth is open then you can almost guarantee he is lying. Doing my head in. He lives and breathes the internet so this will be a nightmare for him.

Electricity has gone up to £91 per month !!!! !!!!!!

In a right old strop tonight but NSD and stuck to healthy eating too despite DS's best efforts to thwart me

I've not posted here before but have been reading (lurking) for a while now. So - and breathe. You must be absolutely furious at him, which is understandable. But the good news, not to be passed to DS, is that he was caught, which means he didn't succeed. And even better news is that he didn't get caught on either an exam site or a banking site & he didn't get excluded. Hopefully he has learnt a major lesson but perhaps time to say only access the internet in a public room & not in the privacy of his bedroom. As you say he is a teenager and this is what they do! So good for you staying clear of the comfort eating and just remember to stay overtly mad at him whilst being grateful that it could have been a whole lot worse. Don't let a silly teenage prank undermine what you have achieved. He will have learnt that he is not as clever as he thought he was too. So he may actually need some reinforcement to let him know that he can actually achieve whatever it is he needs to achieve.

So there is a double message if ever there was one!

ETA - another bit of good news - think of all the electricity you will save by him not being on line/on computer for 2 whole weeks

Lol so true about the electricity for two weeks! My son is also horrible teen but he does usually accept punishment with good grace after initial strop - usually ps3 confiscation in his case!

  • Hi Patanne welcome :) Hi SS. Well I am slightly calmer today. Managed to speak to school and although bad not quite as bad as I thought. DS is calmer too although still insists I have gone too far - I don't think so boyo . Said tonight he would maybe go stay with his Dad. :rotfl:Good luck with that request. No way would his Dad take him. Dear God he only deigns to see him about once every 6 weeks !! So when I didn't immediately dissolve in tears DS asked me what I would do if he did that and I said 'help you pack' and walked away. I think he was gobsmacked :rotfl:. No point playing games with me. I'm older and wiser :rotfl:. We'll see how things go but I am hopeful that a lesson has been learned.

Bought soup at lunch today in canteen and I am still thirsty it was so salty ( boak) . Had to buy cheese and milk on way home but no other spends so I am quite happy with that.

Tonight my house should have had revolving doors and a switchboard as constant stream of visitors and just off the phone about 10 mins ago as it has rang all night too. Shattered now and heading to bed feeling rather blessed that I have so many folks around me :). Night all xx
