  • yes, for the grand price of 40p for the newspaper. I never buy papers as I don't read them but I tried in work and no-one had a Sun and DD's tradesmen didn't have one either  so I had to buy one. Humph!! Was going to buy a couple but realistically I wouldn't spend that much in Aldi and really dont want to spend a lot over next few weeks t all. A £40 shop in aldi will hopefully be more than sufficient.

The social times are with all different groups of people so at least I can just have 1 outfit and wear it each time :D

  • Evening folks. Hope everyone is well. We have my 10 year old niece here tonight for a sleepover with DD and she is adorable. They went to ASDA for snacks and she bought myself and DD a plant each. How sweet. She is from down south so we only see her a couple of times a year and this is the first time she has stayed with us. I doubt it will be the last :D

I came home tonight and made piri piri chicken but dear God it was spicy  nearly burnt the mouth off of me. I have loads left but I dunno if we can eat it. I love spicy, tasty food but I'm not keen on too much heat. DD tried it as well and drank a whole glass of juice after one mouthful :rotfl:. My niece wanted spag bol and ate a huge helping of my HM spag bol and announced that I was an excellent cook. Apparently she had already heard this - from whom I do not know :rotfl:

Huge excitement here today as an air bus was landing at Glasgow for the first time ever. Considering where I live we don't get any planes as we are off the flight path this was very exciting. Unfortunately DS was here at home so didn't see it but DD and I were at work so we were glued to the spectacle. My whole office were at the windows watching it. Probs you all think I'm nuts getting excited over a plane but it was a new experience for us. Apparently hundreds of people were lining the motorway to see it coming in :rotfl:

So todays spends were £1.40 for lunch. £6.50 in local shop for milk, potatoes and sweets for niece coming. DD went to asda and got me juice and t-spoons as yet again I don't have a bloody t-spoon in this house !!! Now that I think about it that cost me a fiver for some reason. I must check with her.

Watching 15,000 kids and counting :( I'll be wanting to adopt them .Very very sad that kids are unwanted.

Nice wee day in work. Got all my end of year reports done for my staff so I am one happy bunny. Always a stressful time of year. I am working tomorrow then in on Monday and Tuesday and off until the following Tuesday which is just brilliant. I am so looking forward to it. I am working at the cleaning on Friday and Saturday but hopefully I can pay that straight from my CC and start making an inroads to that.

I have £170 put by for Murcia but £60 of that will be for the flat and transfers. So I have £110. I'll have another £50 away in May so during May I need to find another £160 for spends. I will also need to leave food for the kids whilst I am away. I'll make sure I have cooked meals for the 4 nights I am away so all they have to do is heat up and just make potatoes, pasta or rice and they'll have a good meal. Or I could leave them oven chips, pizzas, chicken dippers etc etc lol I know what one they would choose.

So a nice wee day all in all and I hope you guys have had the same xx

  • afternoon guys. Been working this morning and I am beyond tired. The house we clean is 4 beds, 2 lounges, 3 bath and big kitchen and normally it is not too bad and DS and I have a nice wee routine going and can do it in 2.5hrs. Well today took 3.5hrs as it was absolutely minging. I do not know how any decent person can walk away and leave such a God awful mess behind them. It was filthy filthy filthy. They had moved furniture about which we had to move back. Every dish was in a different cupboard than it should have been. The cooker :eek: sheesht! Just muck and dirt everywhere. The owners were apologising to us about the mess but not their faults. My legs are absolutely killing me and I am now lying on the couch in a state of exhaustion. I am going to have a wee snooze and hopefully be better when I waken up. £32.50 however paid off of the CC. Only saving grace was that there was a pizza, frozen baguettes, frozen raspberries and crumpets left behind which I pinched :o

Went into Jenners on way home and got DD the Ted Baker bag and pencil case she was lusting after. £64 for the 2 of them. The bag looks like a sturdy carrier bag and the pencil case is naff but hey what do I know ? So nothing else being bought for her as I paid £100 towards her T in the park ticket so that is more than enough.

Spent £36 in Iceland and I don't even know what I bought to be honest. It will get used though I am sure of that. Some frozen curries and things like that . I wouldn't touch them but DS likes them.

Stew has been taken out of the freezer for dinner tonight so that'll be yum yum and then a wee night of telly and relaxing for me.

  • Well my DD's nice new bag and pencil case will be getting returned unless her $hitty attitude changes.

I came home from church today and actually cried when I walked into this house. DS was still in bed at 1.15pm and DD was away to the pictures. She had put on a washing and allegedly tidied up the kitchen (which looked like a scene from a riot). Thinks she did well because she tidied her room and put on a wash. Never ever hangs the washing up though. Never ever takes it down and sorts it out. Uses the shower twice a day and wouldn't even consider cleaning it out. I am so angry. She then blames it all on her brother ( who also got what for from me) as he hadn't emptied the dishwasher and all holy h ell broke out in here. I asked on face book if anyone else had this kind of problem with a 20 year old and she was so cheeky to me on there that I'm not even speaking to her. Then had the cheek to ask what's for dinner. F*ck all I reckon . Think I'll go and get myself a chippy and stuff the two of them. I'm scunnered!!

Spent £2 in church today and £16 in Aldi as I actually bought cooked ham, cauliflower, cheese and potatoes for dinner. They'll do for another night though.

So funday Sunday in my household..............not!! I'm only working 2 days this week and intended gutting the house but am not inclined at the minute tbh.

DD just asked me for a loan of money. I said nah and just carried on typing. Her face is a picture :rotfl:. I'll win this battle !!

  • OMG your day sounds just like mine, though my kid is 9 not 20!! He is so lazy he will walk past the kitchen, sit down and demand someone get him a drink. Or he will sit thirsty for 20 minutes until someone gets up and then says "while you are up can you get me a drink?". He seems to have forgotten his manners, leaves his dishes lying where he has been sat, dumps his clothes down the side of the bed, doesn't flush the loo and thinks winding his brother up is the best form of entertainment . I refused to make him any lunch today and I've mainly ignored him today, don't know what else to do to get it through to him!

I've advertised him on facebook, free to a good home!

  • :rotfl:PLMBL I don't want him even at that fantastic price.

I am furious though and I am withdrawing all goodwill until things change in this house. I said to them both earlier that since I left home I have never had an occasion when I have walked into the house and the whole place has been done and all for my pleasure. My ex didn't do it and neither of the kids have ever done it. I would just love for someone to do that for me and just say- sit down, your bath's ready and dinner will be ready soon- is this too much to ask for? I do this for everyone else so why will no-one do it for me? I asked them if I wasn't worthy of that type of treatment or am I only here to work my a$$ off in 2 jobs and put my life on hold to ensure they are okay. I've totally devoted the last 14 years of my life to this house and my kids and I feel so unappreciated tonight. DS said I was lucky that they weren't the type of kids who were running about drinking and taking drugs and causing mayhem and my answer to that was 'no! you 2 are lucky that I have brought you up properly, I have supported you, fought your corner and worked my !!!!! off for you both. I have taught you manners and the proper way to live your life.' That shut him up :rotfl:

Going to heat up some chips and have bread and butter and go to my bed. I'm done for today xx

  • Stay angry, it's the only thing that keeps my tears at bay when the parasites behave badly. Btw, another of my manifesto promises for when I rule the world is a statute of limitations on parental responsibility. This is in addition to paying politicians minimum wage plus performance related pay
