Wahey skinny. Way to go. I got offered one on freecycle as well but I said no thanks. Someone else can get that one. I am a right saddo as I cannot wait until Monday so I can use my grill to cook the gammon steaks
DD has friends in tonight and I am to run them to the dancing at 11.30 . I used to be getting home by then. Obviously my car is too embarrassing for them to be seen in as I have to drive them down in her car . Cheek !! Nothing wrong with my wee Milly the micra. I'm hurt for her. But hey who am I to wreck their street cred?
Had to pay £29.99 for Norton tonight as mine has run out. I was going to go with Virgin as it's free for 1 year but DS said it wasn't good enough for what we need. I have bowed to his superior knowledge as I have no clue.
So Mothers day tomorrow. I think DS has bought me either a mug or an ornament. I so hope it's a mug as I hate ornaments !! Dunno if DD has even remembered.
Lots of laughter from upstairs now so DD has obviously had 2 drinks as she is a total 2 can Dan and gets drunk really easily. So long as she is not sick then I'm not bothered.
So it'll no doubt be a late one for me as I cannot settle until she is in and safely in bed. Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday night xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Depends what you class as late PLMBL. Is 4.20am trashed out her face late?:rotfl:
I've had a lovely day. DS gave me a card last night from funky pigeon and it had our pics on it and it made me cry. In fact a few things have made me cry today. I'm in the doldrums and missing my wee Mum. I got a gorgeous bag from DD from House of Fraser. I have been lusting after it for weeks. It's so cute. DS got me a mug to add to my Mum mug collection. It's not an intentional collection, you understand. Good thing is he keeps providing me with tea so I can use it :rotfl:.
Went to see my Mum and took her a wee box with roses in it from ALDI. Because it was her birthday last week the grave is full of gorgeous plants and flowers. Cemetery was very busy and couple across from us gave me that 'knowing' smile and it just saddened me. When I looked around me I just thought to myself 'They all know' they know the loss we suffer when our Mum's leave us. They just know. *sigh*
Anyway's I need to pick myself up as I hate feeling like this. I spent £49 in ALDI's but that included £6 for Mum's plant, £3 that DS spent and I stocked up with 3 tubes of toothpaste and 4 handwashes. I used my £5 off voucher and also bought a few of the other products that I had vouchers for. I bought some mince and also 4 packs of cold meat as I am intending having a salad week for lunches this week.
Making Maggi's BBQ sticky chicken for dinner tonight so that should be tasty. I am going to roast some veggies as well and some potatoes. Nice big dinner as I am very hungry.
Started watching 12 years a slave last night but was falling asleep. Going to watch the rest soon. It's quite harrowing and what is even more worrying is that there are still many many slaves in this day and age being treated as badly. So sad.

Drum roll moment :j:j:j there is £320 leaving the CSA account at 3.30pm winging its way into my bank account * happy dance*. Woohoo!!
Should have been £410 but I am more than happy with £320. Now I know I should pay it straight off of my debt but my kids are so good at doing without that I am treating them. DD needs a desk and some storage for starting uni so we are getting that from Argos. DS badly needs shoes and fleeces so I will get him them. I will probably only get the 1 payment anyway as he will no doubt pack in the job but ooooooooooo I love to irritate
My wee mate in work is retiring tomorrow and it is very happy/sad. I go for break and lunch with her every day but her health is rubbish ( just no other way to describe it really) and she needs to go. We have arranged a function at lunchtime for her and I was doing an online order for Domino's. I had a 50% off pizza voucher. However when I went online to order, the voucher was for my local branch and not the one near my work. But hey I don't spend hours moneysaving and not learn a trick or two. So I phoned up relevant branch and just asked if they could do the 50% off. The guy hummed and hawed and I said 'well the order is over £100' and suddenly we got 50% off the pizzas. Reduced the bill by £50
. My other pals think it's hilarious when I do this as they would just pay full price- Eejits!!
So payday today and I have spent a few pound. Had to pay £13 towards gift for said friend. Also £3 for my part of the lunch. Not spent anything else though so that's not too bad.
DS has his interview tomorrow for college so I am keeping my fingers crossed he gets in. My whole world is changing again. My 5 year plan from 3.5 years ago was to be debt free by time DS left school Pffft I was hopeful :rotfl:. I'll need to away and see what happens with child benefit and CSA if he gets in. I'm really not that bothered though as he will need to pay for his own things i.e. fares and lunches and I will get 25% discount from my council tax when they are both students so it's all good.
Am away to check out the details and get some studying done xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Whoop whoop to the CSA money :T:T:T. Did you say you'd eat your hat or something if that happened :rotfl:
Well done on the pizza order, that's alot of money saved. Perhaps your colleagues need training in how to do things the MiT way

Hi folks. Well that's my friend left work. We're heading out for dinner next Friday night so that'll be nice. £40 per head mind you :eek: but the food in this place is dynamite so I am very much looking forward to it.
Spent £4 today as slimming club had a clothes sale on. I bought 2 tops that are brand new and never worn. One fits just now and the other is too neat but will be perfect for my holidays if I can get into it. I'm very happy with them.
DS had £12.50 left from lunch yesterday and I let him hold onto it today. Silly me . He needed £4 for train fares up to college, £2.80 for buses but he didn't have change so instead of £1.40 each way he paid £2 . Eejit. He has just had a lecture about it from me. I told him he should have just thrown away £1.20 as basically that is what he has done. He also decided to have 2 rolls and sausage for his breakfast. The fact that I have sausage in abundance and rolls aplenty seems to have escaped him. He has been warned that if he continues to waste my money then I will take it out of his cleaning wages as I am fed up with it. I'm too skint for this and I scrimp and scrape every penny so why should he just throw it away.
However, he has a conditional offer for the HNC course he wants to do so all he needs is 1 Higher at pass rate and I am confident that he will get that. So it looks like both my kids will be starting further education this summer . I'm so old :rotfl:
Really annoyed with work again today and going to speak to the union about it tomorrow. I had asked last week if I could use some time ( my flexi) this week to take DS to the college and to help with my friend's leaving do. This was allowed (bearing in mind it is my flexi time I have accrued) I knew we were really busy today so I told DS to go to the college himself as realistically he is old enough and I would just have been sitting in the car park waiting on him ,and I only helped for 15 minutes with friend's 'do' as my other 2 friends knew how busy I was and told me they would sort it out. Now you would think that this would be looked upon with favour but Oh no !!! My manager called me out of the room before the lunch even started and asked me how long I intended staying there. I said about an hour, maybe just over. She then went on and on in front of the office manager about how busy it was and I assured her that no timescales would be breached and I was told they better not be!! I was annoyed at this but I let it slide. However 20 minutes later her deputy sent for me and I was recalled to my job. Another member of staff had volunteered to help and was told no that she was to come and get me. I think this is outrageous and I am furious. So I have yet again worked more than my hours today and it still wasn't good enough  Not one other person in that room was asked how long they intended to be and I just feel picked upon. So I will deal with it tomorrow as I was too angry today and I just let myself down when I get mad as my big mouth runs away with me.
So I reckon sleep will not come easily tonight but I just need to remember all the nice things that are happening in my life and just deal with it.*sigh*5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi just popped in and saw your post. Sorry you are feeling picked on, it's really not very nice. I haven't read the rest of your thread so don't know what has gone on before but I wanted to say well done for not dealing with it while you were angry. I also think that sometimes these people are doing it to get your attention. I know it's hard but sometimes if you don't give them the attention they will stop the behaviour. I know it's hard but if you could try shoulder shrugging ( in your head) at the behaviour they will get fed up and go away.
I'm not saying it will definitely work and hope you don't mind me offering my two penneth worth. I've just seen it quite a bit where people do this sort of poke poke poke at others to get their reaction and then say ooh look our unreasonable they are when they react. It's not easy to Explain very well in text but try to take a step back. Others will see eventually how unreasonably you are being treated without you having to say very much and you will find support from others will grow. (Rather than be seen as the one whose. Always complaining). Apols I don't feel I've explained too well but good luck whatever you decide to do.:)OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
