Love the cushion - I have been knitting some baby cardis for my gg - not knitted for years and have crocheted some blankets and cardis too - but have to keep it very simple - couldn't keep track of all the counting for Aran - very envious here. Would it be worth making a stash for a craft fair in summer - I'm guessing there would be lots of tourists around your part of the world in summer.
    January spends - £587.58
  • :j I love getting messages from folks. Makes me sunny

!!!!!! maker ............hmmmm I will do many things for money but I draw the line. Anyway I can't give it away these days never mind charge :rotfl:

SBO I would need irn bru or coke and both have caffeine. I only remembered later I could have had soda water and lime DOH!

Milann, I have a shop buying my stuff just now but yep that's a great idea re craft fayre and I'll definitely consider it.

Not a big spendy day today. Bought my lunch at £2.50 but will make up rolls for tomorrow so I am not tempted again. DS has informed me that his school shoes are too small and he now needs a size 10  so I will have to burst my budget already and get him a new pair. He has a massive blister on his heel so I really need to just sort him out. My brother just phoned me there as well and invited me out with a crowd of them for an Indian on Saturday night. Not seen this crowd for ages so I have said yes to the meal but have said I will drive so I don't get a drinks bill. Not going to have any alcohol until after I get the kidney sorted out anyway so it's nice and fresh :p.

I am really starting to think my budget is just not doable but I will keep trying. It will be fine in the summer months as DS will not be at school but it is a nightmare just now. Maybe during the summer I can make up for any overspend just now. We'll see. xx

  • Evening folks. Got my pom pom makers and really should have read the advert more thoroughly as they are teeny :rotfl: no wonder I was so happy with the price. Anyway I tried the bigger one out and it will do my baby hats and I am quite impressed with the gadget so I will get the bigger one soon to add to my collection.

Busy, busy day at work today. Tuesdays are always mega busy. I can never keep up with demand. Never mind I will hopefully catch up tomorrow.

Went to see my friend's Dad tonight. We have grown up together and been best mates since we were 10. Her Dad has lung cancer and is now becoming a poor wee soul. He loves me visiting as they only have 1 daughter and they are quiet living people so they don't have a big network. He loves a new face for a blether and chats away to me. He often used to disappear when anyone visited but when I go in I need to get the full walk around the garden and told how to plant everything, how to feed them and always a big bag of tomatoes and anything else that he has just harvested. He also supplies me most years with cuttings for my pot plants. I think he despairs as I am so rubbish at growing them. It's so so sad to see how frail he has become and I shed a few wee tears tonight. This is a horrible age. We are all losing our parents one after another and it is very difficult. It's the way of life though.

Bit of a spendy day today. £50 in petrol, £2.50 on lunch ( cos I ate mine for breakfast :o) and £5 works bonus ball. I am now down to £12.50 cash :rotfl: doing well ..........NOT xx

  • I go every couple of weeks RR. I just noticed a huge difference in him this time. My friend used to visit my Mum often when she was ill and sat with me most of the night before she died. We are very close.

Worked in 2nd job tonight. Totally exhausted now. Hard going doing a 3 hr cleaning shift after an 8hr day but I get the weekend free and I love that. It seems horrific at the time but come a Saturday morning when I can roll over in bed I am very happy to have made the effort.

So just spent £20 from gift envelope for my brother's birthday. Also £1 for a card today. Paid £1.70 for lunch as they had apple crumble and custard :o. No other spends though so I'm happy enough with that. I earned £32.50 but I am not banking it. I am going to keep it in my purse as I will need it on Saturday night for my dinner. Hopefully my dinner will be nowhere near that as it's just a curry.

    Anyway.......to bed zzzzzzzzzzzz
