Hon, I have a massive family but more often than not it's my friends that I'm closest to. Sounds like your co worker hasn't yet learnt the value of true friendship. Here's hoping the recovery goes well and brilliant news on the possibility of money from the ex. Just identifying another income stream can really help lift the pressure. Sad day today folks. Phone call at 6.30am and my friends dad had passed away. All very peaceful and he looked at rest when I went down. He just woke up and wanted a wee drink and just died. Just him and his wife were there and that is obviously the way it was meant to be. I was there from just after 7. Once they took him away I cooked for everyone and we sat and chatted. The kids were laughing their heads off when we were telling them all the mischief we got up to as kids and how their Papa used to lose the rag with us. Am a very sad MIT tonight.
Other news is that I had a puncture so £10 for that. Bought about £15 of shopping as I just 'needed' cake. But I won £25 on lottery so all is well. Got a call from CSA finance today and they are working on arrears owed and collection of monies so things are looking good as far as that is concerned. I was well impressed that the case was only passed to them yesterday and they were dealing with it today. Keep your fingers crossed as potentially about £50 per week. I was hasty as usual and put it into my snowball and if I get it on an ongoing basis then it will reduce my DFD from 71 months to 39 :eek:
Tablet folks is a traditional Scottish home made sweet and it is to die for. Sugar rush heaven. Made from 2lbs sugar, dollop of butter, cup of milk and tin of condensed milk. Boiled for about 20 minutes with constant stirring . Then mixed for about 5 minutes with an electric whisk and put into buttered baking trays to set. Fabulous and only a wee dollop of butter so technically low fat:o
Fair wee bit of pain today but been busy so have managed to ignore it mostly and managed with no pain killers yet. I can't handle any painkillers and am totally zonked when I take them so am trying to hold off.

Oh MIT, only just caught up properly with your diary and so sorry to hear the sad news
. Lovely that the memories created some laughter amongst the sadness.
You have alot on your plate, including tablet :rotfl:, crossing everything that CSA payments come your way very soon. I'd be doing the same calculating into snowball too, that could make such a difference.
You're doing very well without painkillers, let's hope you are out the other side of it soon.

PLMBL this girl got me through my Mum dying. I owe her and was so glad I was off work today to be there for her. If I had to go to work and leave them I would have hated it. My group just seem to be losing our parents one after the other. Just found out this week that my other best friends Dad also has cancer. Terrible age to be
20's are full of marriages and babies
30's dealing with affairs, teenagers, divorces
40's dealing with parents dying
Wonder what the 50's will bring. Hopefully a big old toy bot who will adore me and treat me like a princessoh and a bigger lottery win than the £25 I got this week- not that I'm knocking it mind you
