  • I know. Am really pleased. I need to now knuckle down and be rid of this bloody debt once and for all. I'm not sleeping that great and it's all down to this. Driving me nuts. I even thought about a DMP again but I reckon I can manage if I just get my !!!!! in gear. I have made huge changes this month so far and just need to keep it up. Kids are moaning mind you as no junk food at all in the house. Tough lol

  • Hi mit ive also just balance transferred 4 credit cards balances onto one and it feels great although ill be paying 6 percent per year interest as thats best deal i could get but itll still be a hell of a
Alot cheaper in long run my kids are also moaning that we havent got junk food as this week we reduced our shopping by forty quid by being really sensible and going to aldi
  • RR too right. Got to be cruel to be kind. Some goodies coming with ASDA delivery tonight but that's us until end of month so they better make them last. Kitty it feels great but I am now desperate to get the details so I can do my sums. I reckon this will make a huge difference.

Not a very spendy day today. Bought rolls, juice and chocolate on way to work which was £3.49 and spent 55p on chips at lunchtime for on a roll. Drool ..........was delish.

ASDA delivery coming soon and it will be about £55. Hopefully no more shopping until Feb except maybe a couple of fresh bits and pieces.

I was trying to stop drinking fizzy juice in work and eat healthily and I have failed miserably. I will get onto the healthy eating next week I reckon but I admit to being a fizzy juice addict. So I will be the weak human being and give in to my addiction. I just need to do it in the cheapest way I can. I have ordered ASDA's own brand today and it's 'ok' so long as I have ice and it's nice and cold. This will do me for work and the house.

£19.00 approx spent by me on lunches this week . That's not including another £15 for DS  I need to get better at this next week.

Ok 1 hour later ( yes post has lay that long) and I am back. Dinner consisted of sausages and tinned potatoes ( yuk but were smart price potatoes so cheap and filling ). ASDA has been delivered and was £54.61. 7 or maybe 8 meals in that plus lunches and snacks so not too bad.

DS was shouting asking me earlier what was my job, how much did I earn etc . I was on phone chatting and just kept shouting up answers. It turns out he was filling out his UCAS form . This means I potentially have 2 children starting uni in the summer. How did I get this old ??? Not going to panic as the only money I get for DS is £20.50 per week. He costs me £37.50 per week for school and if he went to uni he would pay his own travel and I would also make him hand some money into the house. So effectively I would be better off :D. Such a shame I need to think about money whilst my son is making one of the biggest decisions of his life :(. Hey ho.

So actually potentially all 3 of us will be doing uni study this year..............bit mind blowing that one :rotfl:. Positive is we can go to student unions together

  • ha ha we'd have a blast. DD would have 2 beers and be comatose. I'd be singing and dancing all night drinking them all under the table and DS would just be horrified and facebooking the world with embarrassing pics of us.

    Yay to 0% card transfers.

LOL that you are all going to be uni students. Will be all be worth it in the end.
  • Lam yes it will.

IT IS SO SO COLD TODAY. I am sitting in my living room with my hood up on my fleece as I am freezing. My pressure was down earlier in my heating so boiler had switched off. I didn't have time to play about with it before I left for cleaning job so when we came in at 3 o'clock the temp in the house was 14.6. I thought I might die . I loathe being cold and it takes me hours and hours to heat up again. My hands are like ice. Am actually going to do some housework so I can heat up, I am that desperate.

Never mind I have overpaid my gas and am getting a £70 refund :D. That'll go towards overdraft. Am hoping that I can reduce o/d by about £400 this month as well as paying minimums on cards. That'll be about £720 paid to debt. Fingers crossed I manage it as that'll be a great start to the year.

Earned £32.50 today and DS owed me £8 so that money will pay for DS school costs this week. Next week he is on work experience in the school 5 minutes from the house. He is to pay £2 per day for his lunch as he will be on playground duty or he can come home if he's not. Then he has almost 2 weeks leave from school whilst he sits his prelims for his highers. I have thankfully talked him out of uni this year. I think he just got caught up in all the excitement as his best friend, who is a year older got an unconditional and of course he wanted one as well. Can't see sh*t but he wants it!!

So this evening DD is at a friends for dinner and DS has just gone up to my brother's so I'm home alone. I'm quite happy to have some nice quiet time and will just clear up and enjoy the quiet ambiance.

  • Hope you've warmed up a bit?

I have to work outside a bit each day and have the mickey taken out of me for the way I look like I'm going on an expedition to the North Pole!:rotfl:

My son has gone to his 'first' party tonight....he actually had a bath of his own accord and quiffed up his hair with gel etc....

Am feeling very naughty about the amount I've had the heating on today :( cheaper to go out!
