Evening folks. I am glad to sit down tonight. Busy day with cleaning and finishing up laundry. I have however brought some more home with me tonight. Glutton for punishment
. All money off of the debt though so it must be done.
Watching the Edinburgh military tattoo and have decided I am definitely going next year. It looks amazing and every year I say I want to go and I never do. Hopefully next year the purse strings will be loosened sufficiently enough for me to get tickets.
I feel as if my poor friends are dealing with one tragedy after another just now. One of my best friend's sisters house went on fire during the night and her and her husband were literally left with what they were wearing which was their pyjamas. Now they are estranged and for good reason I may add, but my friend is so upset and feeling so bad it's such a shame. This girl's flat and the 2 above her were totally destroyed and from waht we hear she has no insurance and it's a bought flat .
Ooft Easties was a heart tugger tonight. Been writing this and watching it out the corner of my eye. I'm not normally an Easties watcher but that was brutal.
If I had any energy I would check my freezer and see if I had enough food for the week. I need to get my chest freezer emptied so I can defrost it as ice is now stopping lid going down properly. DS leaves it open all the time and it gets really bad. I need to rein in my spending on food as I have thrown out more food tonight and am really peed off about it. If I can get my freezer right down I will get a butchermeat pack and then a huge asda shop but I will buy fresh on a weekly basis to hopefully stop wasting anything. Probably won't be able to find the time mind you :rotfl:.

I wrote a huge update last night and my computer overheated and I lost it. Basically it was saying - look at my awesome signature, I reckon I will be in the 13's by end of this month :j:T. How exciting. Wouldn't it be fab if I got into single figures by the year end. I am getting increases from all my CC's as I am paying them off :rotfl:
I lost 3.5lbs this week at SW and got slimmer of the month :j. That's 10.5lbs in 3 weeks. Another few pounds to go to get back to where I was but I am super motivated again.
Knackered now so heading to bed as was at the airport this morning with DD at 6.45am as she is away to Dublin (again) until Monday. xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Busy day today. Just sat down for 10 minutes as dinner is cooking. We went to work this morning at 8.30 and got home about 2pm. 2 houses cleaned so £50 each for that and I also have laundry for both houses so another £90 for that. Nice wee overpayment when I receive it and another step closer to my goal.
Came home and started laundry. Finished our laundry first and it is all out on the line getting dried. I'm now on 4th load for business. Will get it all washed tonight ready to press tomorrow and the towels can go outside tomorrow as it is due to be a nice day again.
DS has started his job in a well known burger joint tonight. Am hoping he enjoys it and that can see him through college and uni.
My niece has started to be a consultant for Arbonne cosmetics so I was at her launch night last night and spent £65 on make up . I've never done that in my life but tbh it's about time I did and the products are gorgeous.
So I am cooking corned beef hash and cauliflower for my dinner. I should get at least 3 portions from it so 2 can go in freezer for lunches for work. Nice and tasty and super cheap as cauli was from Aldi super six.
Still not got freezer emptied so I can defrost it but almost there.
Am off to sort out more washing. Be back later x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Good afternoon folks and what a beautiful one it is here. My washing lines are full of beautiful white towels. Looks amazing. All laundry now done and pressed. Downstairs in house is relatively tidy and once washing is fully dried and packed away I will dust, hoover and mop. I will be a very happy bunny then.
Paid £90 to CC today. That'll be me until next week now.
Lol started writing this hours ago. Laundry is packed away and in cupboard out of sight. Downstairs has been dusted hoovered and mopped and I am not sitting on my backside watching x-factor.
DS has come in from his 2nd shift and he is knackered. Welcome to the real world son :rotfl:
So the weekend has gone again. Back to the day job tomorrow. All is quiet there just now so long may it last.
DD messaged and reckons she has broken her nose again . I think (hope) she is just being dramatic but I will see when she gets home tomorrow.
My DFD has been brought forward to 2020 which excites me greatly. Next date goal is 2019 so let's see if I can get there this year

Gosh MiT, catching up and so much has been happening. Do hope your friend is recovering.
Amazing on your weight loss and debt slaying - incredible the pace you are going at and to have 2019 in your sights is superb :T:T:Tin_need_of_direction wrote: »Let's see if we can arrange these words into a well known phrase for Ali. Pot, kettle, black

Hi Ali. Glad to hear life is all about the garden
I'm hoping 2019 disappears as quickly on my snowball as 2020 did. I would like to be debt free by either end 2016 or beginning 2017
Went to butchers tonight and spent £65. Have decided that from next month when kids give me their dig money then I will do a huge food shop. I bought 5kg chicken breasts, 3kg sausages, 1kg bacon, 4lbs steak mince, 2lbs diced steak and 2 bacon steaks. At least 20 meals and all the best of stuff so I am happy with that. It should last us all month. I know I keep saying it but I really need to get back into menu planning again as I am definitely slipping on that front.
DD due back tonight. No idea when or how she is getting home from airport as her phone is broken so I will see her when she arrives. Last text I had they were in a tattoo parlour
So nice to be sitting tonight and I have nothing to do. I have spent the time doing an ideas folder for my kitchen when I am debt free. So exciting

Wow MIT. What a change in outlook!! In the old days you would have decided it needed to be done and would have added it to the debt.
Go you. Debt free next year!
