Well done MiT - more weight off, more debt gone :T
On the one arm thinner than the other, might be worth doing some exercises with the larger of the two - use a can of something in hand and do those lifting/curling things that bodybuilders do to show off muscles. Whilst cycling :rotfl:
Glad DS got home safely, hopefully your snow will have gone really quickly with warmer temps almost here. Bitter wind at the moment so feeling brrrr.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

Evening folks.
Skinny they were not paired when I found them. I found 77 socks and got 37 pairs from them :rotfl:. Took me about 20 minutes to sort them out
Verbatim I was under 10k at one time and I could kick myself. Debt has indeed crept up due to a couple of holidays and as you say home improvements. None of the spends were essential except the guttering. I could kick myself but I am just concentrating on paying as much off as I can. My kitchen is a total disaster and I am desperate to get it done. I keep saying I'll get it next year but realistically it may end up the year after as I reckon if I can keep up the pace with paying off then I could be paid off in just over 2 years. I am not going to put myself under any pressure though. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing as long as I can
Ali I am obviously just a weird lopsided person. I'll just hope that I even up at some point :rotfl:
So another wee cleaning job done tonight. £30 paid to asda. That has saved me £126.83 in interest. I feel as if I'm earning a fortune as the money makes such a massive difference to the end result. Another month knocked off of DFD as well. Brilliant stuff.
I was talking to my SIL at weekend about losing weight and she reckons I am managing it this time as my head is in the right place. I think she is right and that's why everything appears to be falling into place. I feel super motivated on all fronts and am getting so much pleasure from the weight and the debt going down. I have so much energy when I'm doing the cleaning now and it'll only get easier with every pound I lose. I used to come home from a job and I was in such pain. I ached from head to toe and it half killed me doing it. Now, although it is hard work, I am not completely wrecked after a shift. It's smashing.
I am waiting on the bubble bursting tbh but I will enjoy it just now xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi MIT, you mentioned that you had paid off the o/d, have you got rid of it? How many times have you paid it off in the past and racked it back up again? If you feel you still need it why not reduce the amount. Great weightloss, very inspiring, I was doing very well and as you say about being in the right headspace mine just isn't. Lucielle I haven't got rid of it. That scares me but I will cut it down to £500 so that it is never so hefty again. I just feel that until I have some savings I need this as a back up for emergencies.
Busy few days and today I am shattered and desperate for bedtime. I'm trying really hard not to fall asleep. I went to my first ( and last) rock concert last night. Band called Halestorm. I have now confirmed in my head that I don't like heavy rock all that much
Not been very good diet wise yesterday or today. Yesterday as I was out for drinks and food prior to the concert and today I was at a funeral so sausage rolls, sandwiches and scone with jam and clotted cream and I have also just inhaled a bag of chips. I have a bit of a hangover though so I'll get back on it tomorrow.
Just did a HUGE online shop which is getting delivered tomorrow. £142 which is pretty bad but I have spent at least £10 on Easter eggs and also about £15 on baking stuff for DD'S party. The rest of it should hopefully do me for the rest of the month except for fresh food.
I have been so busy this month so far that I haven't made any goals for myself. So my goal is to pay all cleaning money as 'extra' and get to end of month and not be in overdraft. I reckon with all the party expenses etc that I will have I will do very well if I manage that5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Well done on cutting it down. How's the exercise bike doing? I've been eyeing one up in Argos but yet to purchase. Have been out on Dd1s bike today, my bottom may not thank me...

You are doing so well with the weight and debtbusting.
We had a fantastic surprise last week - we'd applied to reclaim ppi a couple of years ago and had it turned down. We accepted it and thought no more of it then out of the blue had a letter saying the bank had reviewed the case as a matter of routine and overturned the decision - can't believe itHow my mindset has changed - I'd have had it spent 10 times over in the past but only treated myself to 1 thing so far..........

lol - so far so good..... I haven't even had the urge to go out and spend loads. We have a special year in a couple of years when it's my 60th dh 65th and our 40th wedding anniversary - I'd love to do something really special like a cruise or fancy holiday rather than our 2 weeks in a caravan - I think that is at the back of my mind.........
Have you finished your jumper yet?January spends - £587.580 -
Yep it's done. Just need to get nice buttons for it then I can wear it. It's lovely. I'll see if I can get a wee pic on once buttons are done. I have now started an order for someone so that'll bring in some cash. So nice to make some extra money from a hobby I love doing.
That's a huge year you will be having as well Milann. I am spending loads of DD's birthday party. I am making cup cakes my self and I have bought little personalised flags for them. I have bought stripey paper bags for the sweets and glass jars for them. I have bought paper to cover the tables.I think I have got all of the baking ingredients in except for eggs which I will buy fresh. I will need to pay for pizzas and pakora on the night and get fresh bread etc nearer the time. I think I will go over the £400 budget I set myself and that' with my brother paying for the disco and providing the photo booth. It's getting all very exciting now
I stayed the same at slimming club tonight but that's due to a night out with food and booze and a next day feeding my hangover. Only 2lbs to get for my 3 stone award . Next week we are being filmed though and would be quite cool if I got my award that night.
Not much more to report. Still no maintenance but it's all earmarked anyway. I have a cleaning stint tomorrow night which will bring in £20 and I'll pay that off of ASDA. I reckon I can get rid of that one by end June if I work hard at it. I'll try my best anyway5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
