  • Went to lunch with my friend and I paid so was £12 for that but it is her birthday next week so a bunch of flowers and a card will now suffice. She bought her own pudding as I didn't want one as still on no sweet treats. We then went to the shops as she wanted to buy a dress. I bought 2 tops £22, phone case £10, went to home bargains and spent £16.43 but only £4 was food. I bought car mats, storage tubs, coat hangers, bulbs and face cloths . I have lost control again. I am such a spender when I am below par and I need to deal with it. It's nothing major and most folks would think nothing of it but I'm not most folks and I am skint. Arrrggghhh. I also got a call from my pal to say we are actually taking my sick friend out tonight rather than just visiting her !! !!!!!!

Once I am back at work next wee things should calm down spends wise as it's just too easy when you are off. I suppose I have spent less that I would have done if we had gone abroad for a week so I should just focus on the positives and my tops ARE lovely :rotfl:

  • Well today is a day of 2 halves emotionally. Attended funeral of my workmates partner which was very dignified but all rather sad BUT this afternoon is so so exciting as my friend is carrying the commonwealth baton and we are all heading there to support him. Going to local rugby club afterwards for a barbecue and drinks. Will be a very special day :D. I am so excited about the games coming and cannot wait to go to them. Lots of nice things in my life to look forward to. Just need to learn to attend them within a reasonable budget. So today I will take £30 and no more.

Only other spend today has been £1 for parking and £1.29 for a sympathy card.

    Be back later xx

Storage tubs...I'll raise you a Wilko's garden storage tin :rotfl: But as it was the last one left with a dent in it, I got it for £5 :D It'll get more dents anyway so won't be noticeable after a few uses :D

The solar panels sound like a good investment and hopefully will pay for themselves. Do you get the money from the feed to the grid too? Soon adds up if so.

Hugs for the difficult times, but great friends you certainly have and good times to come with the Games. :)

  • Hi folks. Been the worst day ever. My brother got really drunk last night and had a right go at me. We haven;t had a cross word since we were teenagers. I've been up most of the night really upset. Thought I had lost the last member of my family. I can be quite stubborn at times and if someone annoys me sufficiently then I will just cut them off and cut them out of my life. I hate aggression of ant type and refuse to have it in my life. Think my brother was shocked at my reaction as he reckoned I would just accept that he was drunk but no way. He said he is now off of the drink as he does not want to upset folks and myself, his wife and his daughter were all giving it to him today. Very very upsetting day. Bailed out to my bessie mates tonight and we had a great wee chat and put the world to rights and I feel better.

My no sweet treats has gone to h ell in a handbasket last 2 days :(. I've also had pizza and a mcdonalds along with a mcflurry. I feel super bloated now so obviously my body is reacting to all the sugar. Back to normal tomorrow.

Last night I spent £30 as I said I would.Today I spent £10.40 on mcd's, £16.50 on pizza for dinner, £4 on munchies to take to friends and £10 to my friends wee lass for her holidays. All from overdraft. So thanks to my bro I have overeaten and overspent BIG time.

Anyway am now exhausted and heading to bed xx

I hope things right themselves with your DB.

It's a blip and dip into the murky world of sugar and overdrafts, tomorrow is a new day. :)

  • We will be fine. We are extremely close. He hugged me before he left and told me he loved me. Poor soul was shaking like a leaf. I think I scared him half to death with my reaction. Hopefully it will never happen again.

I seem to have another infection :j super!!! Back to work tomorrow as well. Going to head to out of hours doc after dinner as I am getting really breathless again. I am now way over the 12 weeks that is the service level agreement for the hospital. I will call again tomorrow and ask to speak to a manager as this is really getting me down. I had to take co-codamol earlier for the pain and they just knock me out so I have spent all day practically sleeping. The NHS is going down the toilet. I think it's better here in Scotland than you guys down South have got it but it's really awful. I was promised this operation in April !!!!!!!!

Anyway NSD today. DD bought me lovely flowers ( bless her) and I have just lay either in bed or on sofa lol
