I've run the wiztree antibody and piriform and I now have 4gb space.
How do I wipe the machine before re installing windows?
Do I take it that I don't delete windows.old?

If the windows you are running is actually under c:\windows, and there is no data you want under c:\windows.old, then you could delete it.

During a reinstall, the option is there to wipe everything.

I followed the link but I don't think I'm running windows 7. Also how can i be sure my settings or the windows I'm using isn't in old windows?

cleanmgr should still work, type into search box near start button

It says
windir=C:\windows
So I take that to mean that windows old isn't my windows so I can delete it? That would release 60gb which is 41.2% apparently.

If there is nothing you want under there, it would be a reasonable idea.

c:\windows is good

c:\windows.old is whatever was there before the last reinstall.

then run ccleaner and using wiztree look at what is using the remaining space to see if anything else can be deleted, every system has accumulated junk using up disk space.

That's the disc space sorted and what external hard drive to buy now I just need to learn about iPhone photos importing.
What do you suggest i do about me fixing this flashing amber power light.
How would I diagnose if its the motherboard or on board graphics card or something else?
