But does a trade go through?
Does a set limit execute when it should?
No idea. I'm not trying to trade shares but it would be useful to know if the problems are continuing today as the rest of the website seems fine.
But I wanted to point out that for the (possible) majority of HL customers who aren't trying to do that the systems are working fine.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I was able to re-invest the money that didn't get invested in RM in another company via the HL website on friday. Today I sold 5% of my portfolio (not RM shares) and bought into another company and saw no problems with the systems.Solar PV cost £5760 (15/03/13)
FIT inc + Electricity saved £3746 (65% Paid back) Tax free

The problems were definitely continuing yesterday morning. But I wanted to point out that for the (possible) majority of HL customers who aren't trying to do that the systems are working fine.
Surely the majority of HL customers were logging in yesterday to trade in one form or another and they weren't able to do that. The systems were not working fine and gave the error "Online Share Trading Currently unavailable" when I tried.
HL says "We win prestigious awards every year for delivering exceptional services to clients", somehow I think they may be an also ran this year.Every generation blames the one before...

but fortunately they eventually sold out at a higher price. ... HL are lucky, RM share price has been rising.
In the interests of balance I also managed to eventually sell via Hargreaves Lansdown yesterday afternoon. HL have indeed been very lucky with rising share prices, the discontent and backlash would have much greater if their system failures had meant people sold for less than they could have done.Every generation blames the one before...

In the interest of balance I was looking to buy on Friday at £4.37. Their system crash meant I was not able to do so. Not everyone was looking to sell.0 -
Also in the interests of balance, HL have given me £25.00 in compensation for their systems poor performance on Friday following the complaint I submitted.
Anyone else had this ?0
