It's not clear what this 'policy' is that you refer to.
Where is this policy defined? Could you quote it from your T&Cs please?0 -
You sum it up perfectly ih8stress!0

I also feel that the 'grabbits' were ruined when they were moved to different areas of MSE - the whole 'Tesco' debacle etc.Completely agree with this. Threads getting moved/merged/posts getting deleted etc...things have definitely changed, and in my opinion, not for the better.
Surely the majority - or at least a decent percentage - preferred the old system on this forum?
I think alot of people preferred the old system - hence all the fuss at the time - the main 'gripe' seemed to be people objecting to the amount of Tesco grabbits on the board at the time.
Not my personal objection - a grabbit is a grabbit WHICHEVER source it is from. It just happens that some places have more glitches than others. ( to karlie88, celebrate and the gang)0 -
Let's not forget that you've only just added the sig though
I stand by what I said in an earlier post. If the new Twitter feed is designed to link back to deals on this forum, then it isn't a problem, imo.
But if the feed is to tweet deals found on here, but link directly to external websites (with referral links), then it's out of order as it is clearly taking advantage.
No wonder there is a lack of grabbits being posted by the likes of claire21.
Late to the discussion, but the simplicity of this idea, seems perfect to me :T
Be horrid if a, frankly amazing board like grabbit, went down because folk didn't want to post anymore:(

I stopped reading the Grabbit board after several "supposed" bargains at Tesco only to discover nowt.
Lots of false postings to drum up trade.
I didn't find many glitches in my local Tesco but know from others on here that they did exist, it's just that I wasn't able to be in the right place at the right time.
The main thing is it didn't stop me wanting to KNOW about them, so that I could be on the look-out when I did manage to get out and appreciated the posts even if I didn't benefit personally.0 -
The main reason that people use this website is for the forum, I think you will find that people are a very easy commodity to lose and without them you wouldn't have a very good business model.
New forums are very easy to find these days with all of the competition out there trying to copy you :money:0 -

Unfortunately it was already on the decline when you first joined the forums

Actually you are not wrong, and after investigating there are some quite decent forums out there. :T
However if that is your attitude; that everyone can suck it up if they don't like it; clearly you may not have a forum one day that employs you and allows you to post other people's deals on Twitter.
Management/customer services training needed perhaps?Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0 -
I used to come on here as my first port of call for bargains, now I go straight to Hotukdeals. I am very impressed by that and have made a few orders, even remembering to use topcash back too.
So, any further ideas for such bargain sites would be welcome.
I will continue to use some of the other boards on here, while they last. I don't do Twitter etc. as it seems rather impersonal and what I liked about here was it felt friendly and welcoming.0
