  • I responded to a Customer Satisfaction Survey by BOOTS and was shown a window in the Boots website for 'free testers'. I looked and was recommended one for my skin type HOWEVER it was £4.99 for a product that was normally available for £90 ish pounds. As it was via the Boots website I made my payment for a one off tester. Two days later TWO samples arrived and I have now been debited for £150. My bank a helpless to stop the payments. It has not been 30 days etc, and there is no one contactable. It is a SCAM, pure and simple. It wasnt a free trial and it was via a reputable website. I am aghast that Boots affiliate themselves with this organisation. I am going to the small claim courts.

  • My partner has just been scammed by this organisation of almost £200.00. Who helped themselves from her bank account. Its funny how their website closed after she had entered her bank details so not seeing the terms and conditions. But I have done my own research on this organisation and it seems they started over in America with the same scam by misleading marketing practices.
    This company sells products directly to consumers over the internet by uniformly advertised free "trials" to unsuspecting consumers who respond to the risk-free or trial ads are instead enrolled in a free to pay conversion program that costs each consumer hundreds of pounds. This misleading marketing practice is intending to trick and cause consumers to unknowingly and automatically enrol in unauthorised membership or subscription programs whereby consumers are charged and continued to charge credit and debit cards without their knowledge, information or consent. (The perfect scam).
    As at 29th July 2014 the United States Court has a class action against this company that exceeds the sum of five million dollars for fraudulent billing practices, fraudulent advertising, deceptive trade practices and breach of contract.
    The operation of this scam seems to be large scale in the UK so I contacted the Action Fraud department of the Met police who investigate internet fraud here in the UK. They have confirmed that this organisation is not committing
    fraud as they do publish their terms and conditions (if you can find them).

    I must be missing something here? you can scam millions of pounds off hard working people and get away with it, but try stealing a loaf of bread.

    Are you telling us your partner gave out her bank details without reading Terms and Conditions ?

    There is a difference between being scammed and being stupid.
  • Yes she was very stupid but she has learned a very valuable lesson. And i expect she is just one of thousands who are going through a learning curve as a result of this organisation. But what can we do to help these people?
    Highlighting this organisation and its operation is more important and more constructive than your irritating comments.

  • :o I am feeling very stupid, have just discovered this forum, on 25th Oct 2014 I discovered 2 unauthorised !! debits from my account, and on further checks also found two previous ones, the overall total being amost £400, I like many others fell for the free offer, paying the postage, I am so depressed, I am 70 year old widow, How can this be allowed if the Company have been doing this for some time, why has it not been stopped, I only believed I had paid for a FREE trial and now find they have taken four different amounts of money out of my account of almost £400 I had never even used these products, so just opened one and can't bring myself to use it, I feel sick and devastated, why has there not been more publicity warning people about this kind of thing, I for one would like to expose their practice, thank you for reading my comments.
