From that it appears to be about something back as far 2008, it just shows though that there is a track record of wrong doing back 5 years. Shocking that they are allowed to trade. It fits in with roxburghe though
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

    Birds of a feather....!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you for your email to John Owen.

GPB Solicitors was subject to an intervention by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (‘SRA’) on 9 October 2013. We have been instructed by the SRA to act as their agents in the intervention. Please note that we have not taken over conduct of all matters and have not assumed responsibility over any debts of the firm.

We receive our instructions directly from the SRA and are unfortunately unable to assist with any queries that do not relate to the former clients of GPB Solicitors. We have provided Roxburghe with information regarding the intervention and have suggested that they should instruct new solicitors to take conduct of any debt recovery matters.

Should Roxburghe instruct new solicitors they may contact you directly in respect of your query. We apologise that we are unable to assist further.

    Yours sincerely

wow "nigelbb" post is misleading and misquoting the posts on this thread - his opening line that "Prankers has been a bit previous in claiming that the solicitors have been struck off is certainly untrue."
NOWHERE ON THIS THREAD IS THERE ANY STATEMENT TO THAT EFFECT.
Posts have all been dealing with the facts as stated on the SRA website and other supportive additional info supplied via links to other sites regarding this decision.

'Prankers' means the fabulous 'Parking Prankster' website, not this thread!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nigel was referring to the Parking Prankster's blog, which initially quoted 'Struck Off'. (I read it myself). Nigel replied to point out the 'error' which PP has subsequently amended.

The opportunity is presented to stick the knife in them now as they wriggle and squirm on their backs.
    Pay back time.

    Be happy...;)
  • THE SOLICITORS REGULATION AUTHORITY (SRA) HAVE PUBLISHED ON THEIR WEBSITE THEIR INTERVENTION AND CLOSURE OF GPB SOLICITORS LLP.
THE DECISION WAS MADE 9TH OCTOBER 2013

The full details of the decision can be read on their website
Sadly I have not made enough posts to post a direct link. However on to the SRA website. The quickest way to find this info:
Click on Consumer tabs, then under the problems with solicitors tab; click on "recognising fraud and dishonesty" which brings up new page. Click on "scam alerts" and on the right hand side of recent closures and prosecutions is listed GPB Solicitors at top. The full decision can be read by clicking on this.

    Hope instructions are clear enough:j

Good news and a possible useful tool in any upcoming defences. I would use this information in any upcoming court cases which have been sent these letters from GPB as an additional resource for the judge to consider. Obviously a good defence is also required!:T:rotfl:

Thank you so much for what is beautiful information................
    Much respect to You !
