yep i agree with the other posters, quite believable that the could have been stolen.
Or I would have thought fairly memerable where they were packed. I wonder if the actual packer men have been asked about them.0 -

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I cant send out any more PM's, as I'm feeling inundated by requests. Apologies for that, but I'm up to my neck in sorting out all sorts of stuff to do with my move besides these darn removal men and I'm single and in a new area (ie so there's one heck of a lot more to do and I'm the only one to deal with it).
Apologies for that...but there's so much work to do all round that I've gone down a dress size in the last few weeks with it all.0 -
I once put my furnishings in store during a trip overseas. I packed it myself and the removal firm put it in premises they rented. On coming back I couldn't get my stuff as the storage owners said the removal firm owed them money and until they got it they were not prepared to release my things. Seems legally there was nothing I could do. My contract was with the removal firm which was in financial trouble and the storage people wouldn't do a deal. I was renting an unfurnished flat and had to buy a bed and things. Fast forward eventually I got it though they tried giving me something that didn't belong to me and some of my things were missing. I put it down to incompetence rather than theft. Not sure if there is a way round this - short of itemize and witness everything as it is packed and handed over
