What are the actual prices? I was in a Weatherspoons last Friday and someone pointed out the full breakfast. I thought is was £4 odd. That seems extremely expensive for a coke! There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Perhaps he's referring to the coke bought in the disabled toilets from the hoards of drug dealers and sexual deviants who congregate there?0 -
Why they do that, God alone knows.
It's apparently down to lack of confidence. Teenage girls are desperate to fit in with their peer group and they do that so that it does not seem as they are fully committed to what they say and can easily backtrack if the group does not find it acceptable.
It actually came from Australia in the early seventies where it was known as 'the Queensland interrogative'.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
The question mark is used to indicate uncertainty. Not gramatically correct I agree but it's a useful device that can be used on a forum.
I don't want to be rude and earn a place on your sig but the question mark on a statement habit is a very annoying tic. When you do that it tends to make people have to stop and go back to reread your sentence because they thought they'd read a statement but are then informed they've read a question so need to check which it is.
The rules of punctuation were designed to make it easier to read but when you go around casually using your own rules it makes it harder for your audience, which is inconsiderate and makes you look poorly educated.0 -

There's no room on the sig for you.
It's a recognised tool to indicate uncertainty. I don't really care if you have trouble with it0 -

I would have thought that was obvious.
You've led a sheltered life mate. When I was a bouncer I used to have to spray the cistern lids with WD40 to stop people using them for taking lines off and had to deal with just about every combination possible of couple having sex in toilets. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. What a charming person you are. It's no wonder that you have managed to find 3 people to put in your sig for having a go at you, with that attitude. And you've only been here two months!0 -

Two months? IIRC he managed that in one day and he's been telling others that they'd be added if he had the room ever since. :rotfl:There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I think you'll find it's more a tool to help people who aren't very bright demonstrate the fact. It does make posts that use it harder to read for literate readers.

It seems ironic you are applying I have a bad attitude when it appears the only reason you have joined this thread is to insult me!0 -

I think it was two days. I am sure the original insult was the Wednesday and then it carried on where you and the other guy were insulting me on the Thursday. All insults seem to merge into one when everyone is being unpleasant!0
