Grrr. Been to drs to collect DH's prescription. I didn't bother to check it at the surgery so discovered at the chemist that the incompetent idiots have left an item off. Rang Dr's and I have to go back tomorrow at 11am. Not pleased.
Collected DD2 and DS3 from after school club. They were both starving and moaned all the way home for food. They've polished off the bagels I had for their lunch tomorrow. Need to go shopping again now.
lozzy my washing has had the same treatment. It's dry now and nobody is any the wiser (wink).0 -

Not an easy one but do you all have a Will? Do you have a file with all the important documents in, savings, insurance details etc. Unfortunately too many of us know that life has a tendency to toss a curved ball.0 -
Welcome back, Raphael. Glad you were able to visit your step-dad, hope he will soon be in less pain.
DS1 has just collected DGD2, who was really good for us. She had 1½ hours' sleep before lunch and another 2 hours this afternoon, ate some lunch with us, drank plenty of water, and played happily with various bits and pieces including my duster-onna-stick aka "Tickle-tickle"Her temperature shot up suddenly when her first lot of meds wore off, but she took Calpol very happily from the syringe (what a wonderful invention - I remember trying to feed DS1 Calpol off a medicine spoon at that age and getting it all over both of us!) and was soon up and about again.
I managed to do a bit more gloss painting and hung out 2x washing loads (which are now dry) while she was asleep, cooked lunch, put our roast dinner in the oven, vacuumed kitchen floor when I realised that DGD2 was picking up fluff on her leggings- but not done much else. I must go to Choral Society practice tonight, so I will have to get up at crack of dawn to finish the painting, or it won't be dry by the time the carpet fitter comes on Saturday afternoon  (Sun comes up at about 7.25, so not too bad! :rotfl:)

Hi all
Heartfelt thanks for all the kind words about old boy cats passing, it is much appreciated (more so than I can say in a message)
My lovely friend passed away this afternoon after battling the C. I don't want to say she lost her battle as the C didn't win as it didn't claim her - her personality and humour always shone through.
Thifty hope your Dad is better soon
Raph hope your step-dad is better soon too
