How and why do I let my side table get so cluttered and untidy.
Anyway. Floor clear. Chairs clear. My side table clearish. Need to put some clean washing away that is hanging around. Will have to Hoover later.
Washing machine is having a funny half hour so I will put away what's dry and then try and sort this thing. Over worked probablyDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Morning everyone,
Didn't do anything other than cooking yesterday and then got a call to say my Dad had been taken into hospital so was there all night. I'm shattered! He's 71 and suffers from COPD and couldn't breathe well yesterday so they took him in an ambulance. They are going to keep him in for a few days. I had to collect his car last night and take it to the garage this morning for its service so I had a walk back in the freezing cold:eek: but it blew the cobwebs away. Got to leave for work at twelve, but first prep tea, find out where Dad will be so I can visit tonight, fetch his car back, fetch him some more stuff and get DH to do the parents evening.
Don't think much flying is going to get done today. Will try and catch up tomorrow

Sorry to hear your news thrifty. I hope your Dad will be ok.
30mins in the dinning room done and it looks like I need another 4hours . I have cleared and cleaned the dining table and you can now walk into the dinning room without stepping on something, but I need to declutter around the edges. This is definitely my hotspot.
I have got stuff against two walls so I think I will try and declutter one wall after work instead of trying to do it all in one go.
I will quickly unload the wm and then start work.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Hope your dads ok thrifty
So my hhc was a bit longer but I was somewhat distracted by DD who wanted pens etc. but I have:
Put a wash on
Set DW going
Put beans in SC
Grilled toms to chuck in later.
Wiped down DR table and swept floor, swept hall too, DS had cream crackers after breakfast
S&S kitchen and put some bits away.
DD has done me some more writing :A her name and her brothers. Then she drew me incy wincy spidershe's now said she's cold (windows upstairs open from condensation) so she's on the sofa with the fluffy throw and is watching the grinch. What is it with my kids? They wanted to watch the snowman the other day... Xmas mad!
Speaking of which her main Xmas pressie is in the hall, thankfully a plain box. They are away with inlaws Saturday so I will assemble it then to be sure all the pieces are there, then try and get it in the loft... We have a big hatch but I might need help.
Having said that, roofer is sending one of the lads this Saturday to paint my ceiling so he might help me manoeuvre it through the gap...
Right cuppa for me then another hhc at 10.30
Leaving the garden till later, its very chilly but hoping the sun will burn through the cloud.Bossymoo

Hope your dad's OK, Thrifty.
Sorry to hear about your cat, Decko.
Was just about to start painting the skirting when DS1 phoned and asked me to look after DGD2 (aged 14 mo.) for the rest of the day - DDiL is at work, DGD2 is running a temperature, and the nursery have rung him to collect her. DS1 has locked himself out of his own house so is bringing her here. I have just fought with the cot - and won! It is now set up ready for DGD2 to sleep off whatever she's got. I'm glad I kept it - I thought it might be useful, but hadn't expected it so soon
Will catch up with you all again later. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks available as needed - please help yourselves while I've got my hands full0 -
Aww ionafan hope she's better soon. A good sleep and some granny cuddles always makes my two feel better. And a spot of kiddy paracetamol makes us all feel betterBossymoo

Morning Flyladies :hello:
Deco, I'm sorry to hear about your puddycat. thifty, I hope your dad is well enough to come home soon. LJ, I'm glad you survived the house move and you're enjoying your new place!
Thursday for me will include:
Living Room- Dust all surfaces and electricals, catch the cobwebs
- Vacuum everywhere including under the sofa, behind the TV unit and down the back of the hamster sideboard
- Vacuum the sofa, turn all the cushions
- Wash all the coffee table down and polish the legs
- Treat the stains on the carpet (left over from Tuesday)
- Give the doors a good wash, sticky marks aplenty here, may as well wipe the skirtings while I'm at it
- Strip bed and remake
- Sort through bedlinen drawer (under our bed, saw a top tip somewhere on this board about putting sets inside one pillowcase so everything is tidy and easy to find)
- Take down voile curtain, soak then wash and rehang
- Dust every flat surface and catch the cobwebs
- Deguddle cables (didn't get around to that when I installed the new TV shelf)
- Think about decluttering my makeup drawer - may need to psych myself up for this one, I have a LOT of makeup, there's probably an afternoon's work in there alone
Hugs etc for all in need. Happy Thursday all xx0 -
Dont forget Bossy, what goes up must come down - will you be able to get it back down on christmas eve, without damaging it or hurting yourself.
